  i took a look at my wies isaiah book where she had it marked and checked out tonight's assigned material.

  it's astonishing to me that anyone with even an average intelligence could choke this stuff down.

  The rules of this discussion board do not permit me to call Nytelefake the blatant and flagrant liar that I think he is,

  but, for those that care to know, in 1999 ALONE, The Watchtower stated, over 1400 times, in the Watchtower magazine alone, for any kind of family problems including mental illness, financial problems, medical situations, and on and on, to look in the Watchtower's publications. And how many times do you think the Watchtower says to look anywhere else for answers? You guessed it.

  I repeat for emphasis: THE WATCHTOWER STATED OVER 1400 TIMES IN 1999 IN THE WATCHTOWER MAGAZINE ALONE THAT FOR SERIOUS PROBLEMS, GO TO THE WATCHTOWER.

  Since Jehovah's Witnesses are beating, raping, and murdering one another at a rate unprecedented in their 120+ year history, I would say the results speak for themselves.

  WHAT!!!!! Someone threatens to kill themselve, you get them into treatment for crying out loud. That man would not be reseponsible for his wife killing herself, because only a very very sick person would kill themselves because her husband wants to change religions IN THE FIRST PLACE.

  That man had bad advice. And that doesn't even go to the issue of whether he remains an eld----never mind.

  I think we all are doing the most important thing we can do...cutting off the supply of fresh converts.

  And as far as getting the blood policy changed, and the shunning policy--well..if there is no watchtower, theere will be no policeis.

  THAT WHICH IS CROOKED CANNOT BE MADE STRAIGHT. A child can understand this.

  The bottom line is that you have to shun rape and molestation survivors and children to stay in the org for any length of time, or you gonna be busted. You can't stay a Witness for any length of time, you will get caught. The alternative is to move from congo to congo. Another alternative is to go on meds because that's how bad it is to sit through this crap. Believe me, I know. Hope these people have good medical insurance. If they're half a caring individual, they're going to need it.

  Oh well, I'll be on JW.COM shit list for this for the next six months AGAIN.

  Edited..on the other hand, to be fair, there are way too many stories of people who felt they left the org or made changes too fast and if they could do it over, they would do it differnetly. If that's the sort of thing you are referring to, Lee Elder, I agree with you totally.

  I'd forgotten how much that article upset me, JT untill you reminded me. I was present for that Watchtower study, as well as the 'disfellowship and shun children but fully support the innocent parents' study. I was ACTUALLY PHYSICALLY ILL for at least a week sitting through those studies.

  I really believe no humane informed person could stay a Jehovah's Witness for any length of time without committing suicide, or being hospitalized, it's just too physically sickening. Especially the two issues above, and the battered women and the pedophile...I mean---you wowuld be vomiting all ovewr the place.

  check out the 1 april, 2002 wt, page 11.. christian baptism is not for everyone, jesus ordered his followers: 'go....and make disciples of people of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things i have commanded you.

  ' (matthew 28:19, 20)before being baptized, people must be 'taught to observe all things jesus commanded his disciples.

  ' hence, forced baptisms of those lacking faith based on accurate knowledge of god's word are valueless and contrary to the commission jesus gave his true followers.-hebrews 11:6.. so far as baptism is concerned, the matt 28 scripture as quoted by the article is a key text for dubs.

  I think articles like this are a direct response to the situation in Bulgaria/France/Russia and wherever else Jehovah's Witnesses haven't learned, after over 120 years, how to get along with their neighbors.

  I also like the point that this is very misleading, because what is there in the post is not consistant with their baptismal rules today. (You will now be identified as Jehovah's Witnesses blah blah blah) I would love if someone would put up the whole article somewhere. AND the baptismal candidate statement.
