  hi all, my daughter in law is in the hospital now, they gave her an epidural, and they figure the baby will be born today at 6pm...yahoo, i am so happy!

  Are you still scared of Jehovah?

  i remember the watchtower organization having me so scared of jehovah that i was getting paranoid.

  i kept thinking he was watching me no matter where i was at.

  i wouldn't dare say anything bad against the organization because jehovah was listening to me.

  not afraid- i dont BeLIEve in Jehovah end of story. it takes a few years to decondition... then a few years to get over the anger.. then a few years to laugh at all of it... ;)

  i don't understant it - who do they think they're foolin'?.

  i have just been listening to the judicual committee that disfellowshipped rick and laverne townsend and it is cringeworthy, to say the least, to listen to them cover-up, distort and outright lie about the sources of their information and the real background to their dissent.

  very trivial thread but none-the-less we SHOULD just be glad ANYONE -no matter what the means- is leaving this rediculous religion. Who cares what source they have- its a choice yo- plain and simple and leaving and disproving JWs happens to be a great, free, choice.

  Article on Origins of Xristianity I Wrote REALLY UPSET Local Christians

  i had an assignment to write a bunch of holiday articles that would be shared by all the various papers owned by the guy who owns the paper i'm the editor of.

  after i'd had enough with the usual holiday stuff, i decided to get a little adventerous and expanded one in the series to include, not just the origins of christmas foods, but also some ideas i've been reading and watching about the origins of the chrisitain religion itself.. this is a link to the article, which ran a few weeks ago: .

  It's the information age- they cant hide it much longer!!!!!!! man it is sure going to piss some good ole folks off isn't it. Well i say GOOD, they should be pissed off- they have been manipulated for generations. Now if only they could focus the anger towards finding their own truths....

  let me start by saying that i have posted here before about my wacko sister -in-law.

  this time it is bad.

  we recieved a phone call from my husbands father on friday night asking about how we were and what we were up to ,no biggie just odd since its only maybe the second time in over a year that he has called.

  Personally I would call the police and file a report. Then I would call the jerks in New York in the legal department and ask them if this is behavior they condone....and I would send a copy to them.

  Then I'd make a third phone call to the local elders and tell them that you had called the police, and the legal department and they had better tell their sheep to stay on the farm and far away from you and yours. I'd also tell them that you plan on hiring an attorney and suing them all if they don't keep every JW away from your home, and if you have any complications with your pregnancy due to this stress you will civily sue them and you know that you may not win but you're willing to make this a very public battle dragging Jehoovers name through the mud.

  And if your husband doesn't stand up for you, I have some sad news...He may never.

  I've gone through this with my husband, his mother accused me of our first child not being his...and that was a flat out BS lie. He and I were married and I love him dearly and would never think of sleeping with anyone else.

  My husband has finally taken the stand that you must be nice to see him or our children. They can't do that. We don't see them.

  keep all of the letters she has written your husband and start documenting her PSYCHO behavior and file a report!! she is slandering you and also harrassing your family END OF STORY. She has very bad behavior oh my - do NOT let her think she can continue her infantile/hateful behavior, you MUST stand up for your family and yourself. I wish you the best with your new baby and pregnancy!!!

  Anyone Ever Read The Four Agreements, A Toltec Wisdom Book?

  subtitle is "a practical guide to personal freedom" by don miguel ruiz .

  i just started reading this book and it is amazing.

  i have been underlining on every page things that i can personally relate to - and i must admit i'm not very far into it yet (page 25) but i felt a very strong urge to not only recommend it (i'll be back later to weigh in again once i start reading what the four agreements actually are/entail) but also ask if any here (oh my very dear friends on jwd) has read this book and what your personal thoughts are?.

  Wow i really want to read this book now- i love to see how ancient wisdom agrees across the globe, these quotes are so very 'eastern' and lovely :) (as well as plain good pshychology!)

  Hambeaks Extremely Heartbreaking News

  our friend hambeak just got the most dreaded phone call from his jw child.

  the news was passed on as he was asked for by name and not as"dad" and let known that "they" just called to let him know that his other son, brian, age 26, is dead.

  he was in a car accident.

  i agree with the rest of the poster's JW's do emmasculate males and females if you want to get down in it. They taint and misunderstand natural processes generally...

  due to funkyderek i have come to the decision to leave this board.

  when i posted on the current gay thread in a way that i thought would stimulate thinking and lighten up the seriosness of the thread and have a laugh, he and others put me down publically labelling me.

  so i find it difficult now to continue posting knowing that someone has influenced others into thinking that i'm not worthy of being here because my phrasing and spelling is bad and that i'm apparently a "hyporite".
