Welcome from a fellow mouse ^^ .
A very young, attractive (yeah, right), and sexually active mouse, if you get my drift....
Just ignore me up until the point I say something through the hormones.

Got a question and tell me what you think....
by Flowerpetal inok, i'm going back some 40 years into the organization so some of you may or may not have heard this.
i remember in my jw life, at different conventions/assemblies when the speakers would be talking about things related to the paradise earth.
they would always say, "if you pictured yourself there, then you will no doubt be there.".

I'm agnostic for the sole reason that I can't proove any religion wrong.
Sure, I *think* they're wrong, and will never serve any of them, but that doesn't make me right. -

Just noticed something odd:
Outlaw: Post 4838 of 4839
unclebruce: Post 4837 of 4839
Anyways...
This forum's purpose is whatever you want it to be. Saddness, fear, hate, and many other emotions can be shared by all. It helps comfort those in need of a shoulder to cry on.
And then there's apostate stuff :P . -

They say money is the root of all evil.
It goes deeper than that.
Selfishness is the root of 'most' evil.
I say most because, even though one person sees something as evil, another does not.
A person that washes thier hands with antibacterial soap could be considered evil. They killed millions of bacteria.
And there is unintentional evil, such as Bush bombing innocent civilians. It is up to the people wronged whether it was evil, or a complete accident.
Mental illness can play a part. A psychopath might kill someone, and not realize it's wrong.
Personally, I think any harm done to another human being, and especially killing them, is evil. If it was an accident, you can be forgiven. And if it was in self defense, or in the defense of another, it can be forgiven.
But devil? I doubt if there was, he would have thought up nuclear bombs... -

JW restrictions on sex, lead to over hype that made sex disappointing.
by free2beme ini remember being a teenager and my hormones were on overdrive.
the young witnesses i knew, male and female, were all feeling the same thing.
we would bring up sex, in one form or another, all the time.

Please don't tell me it's *THAT* bad...
I won't be having sex any time soon.... I'm not even sure how to go about getting a girl freind...
But I have enough control over myself not to jump in bed with the first girl I meet, restrictions or not.
Disapointing? I sure hope not! -

What were you praying about before you left the JWs?
by MegaDude ini was earnestly praying to serve jehovah and give him my all.. in short order i found i was heading toward the unthinkable.
i was on my way out of the watchtower and the only life i had ever known.
pretty ironic.

Raising well rounded and balanced kids...what have you done right?
by My MILs worst nightmare, a nonJW inparenting is one of the most difficult yet rewarding things there is.
doesn't every parent want their children to have a good moral compass, to have good manners, to be socially adept, to be compassionate, to reach their potential and even overachieve in terms of school and career, to appreciate and understand history, science, the arts and the world as a whole, to play team sports when they are younger so they can benefit from physical activity and the comraderie of a team sport, and above all to be a critical thinkers who are strong and independent so that they will not become easy prey to abusive organizations and/or abusive people?.
as a parent i have many times felt like a real failure and at other times like i am actually helping them to reach their potential.. what do you feel that you have done right in raising well rounded and balanced kids?

Now here's me thinking ahead...
I'm hoping for a daughter (don't ask why, because I don't know.)
What I want to know is, How do I keep her away from boys!?
I just so happen to know EXACTLY what boys want, seeing as how I am one. I'm just lucky I'm 16, and have present day experience I guess.
So ironic.
