  Watchtower never took preaching work seriously!!

  there has been a lot of discussion about the claim that the gb feel they have fullfilled their obligation to preach.. this would be no surprise.

  jesus said if you want to really do what is right you need to sell your property and give to the poor.

  and then... you could follow jesus.. after pentecost there was an arrangement where an individual could sell his property and give the proceeds to the apostles.

  The GB/FDS say they follow J.C. ex, of going door to door and it still is the most effective way of making disciples.They get their slave drivers (d.o.,c.o,elders) to constantly hammer the R&F that this is the most important work.Also they lay the guilt trip that your life depends on it.When you work with these (R&F) in service they could care less about making disciples.If they were serious they would be out there every day skip coffee breaks and you would see results.It's a joke,if someone is interested in a bible study they try a pass it off to someone else.Look,if I was in marketing and spent all this money on training,meeting.C.A.,D.C. and sad's.I would expect results.They (GB) push hard but they are wasting their time.Which is ok for people of the world.Many here have mentioned there are more effective ways of preaching and I agree.

  PS They like to use Jesus example of preaching yet they like to use modern conveniences ie computers,mp3,cars ,airplanes.Have you ever seen a GB come to a convention on a donkey.

  Enjoyed great post.

  Q12/Q14 God requires..Orders to do something.No human parents requires or wants that kind of love.

  Q15 Read the bible..it teaches us about God.Let's see no bible for 2500 years of man's history,than in bits and peaces for 1600 years and written in such a way so no one could understand it, that we need a FDS to explain it.

  Q16 Jesus ministry.He promised to bring an end to sicknes,sorrow and death.We have been waiting for almost 2000 years.Many promises,short on keeping them.

  the door to door work is a sham.. the central activity of the watchtower bible and tract society is not spreading their so-called "messege" about the kingdom of jehovah established in the heavens in 1914. that's a load of propaganda.. the door to door activity is feckless in producing converts.

  in fact, it is an immense failure of mammoth proportions!.

  Very good post.They truely are a rich corporation.Like any corporation they have down sized to max their profits ie layoffs at Bethels,shut down farms..imagine they can't produce their own food cheaply.Look at the cash they receive via Insurance,Bank Accounts,Real Estate Wills and Trusts,etc,etc If 6000 Willed their Estate of $1million,thats $6billion and 3 million give $1thousand that another $3 billion plus look at their grab at conventions.All their request for money at congregation meeting when they annouce their resolutions ever 6 months.I am not sure why they request for a vote and how many are in attendance.Maybe something to do with the law of the land.Take their Real Estate ..Take an Assembly Hall of 10 thousand SQ.FT.@ $100 per sq.ft.is $1 million that low.Look at all the Real Estate they have.The mags/book placement is pennies,but like they say, take care of the pennies and the dollars will look after themselves.I do not know what they do with all the money,but they sure are RICH,RICH.They have to push R&F for new suckers to hand over their money and the scheme has been working very good for them.Look, this Corporation has been successful for over a hundred years of brain washing people into their believe system.Some of us can see their scheme but can't get out because of family.I know this post is to long but it's therapy.

  just my take on wbts what's your's

  until 1879 no one understood the bible properly,until god apponted a fds/ibs.who would feed the domestics the proper food at the proper time.

  (this food got rotten at times)then in 1918 jesus christ came for an inspection and found that the food was rotten and put the leaders in jail for 9 months(somehow this fits in with bible prophecy per fds/gb,i just don't know how)than in 1931 they changed their name to jw and in 1935 they began feeding the jonadab's i guess these jonadab's were getting very hungry.after they fed the jonadab's, they started to feed the worldly's.they said the time remaning for this system was short and would end before the generation that saw the world events of 1914 would be alive to see the new system and god's new kingdom ruling on the earth.that generation passed on,so in the wise wisdom of the gb/fds/wts in 1995 defined the length and meaning of the generation.they may have missed some scriptures where god defines the length of days for man.

  (maybe the light wasn't shining or was blurry).in 2000 the gb/fds/wts said the end was very near,deep.deep,deep into this system.in fact "we,are no longer just around the corner,we are around the corner,in fact we are in the last hour".they mentioned 6 signs why the end was near(see 2000 wt&km).one on those signs were the gb/fds was getting very old and would not be around much longer.so they are training the jonadab's,well only special one to take over the feeding chores once all 144k are sealed in heaven.however,if the end doesn't come they the 144k will materialize and help with the sherphering work.

  My point was not to detail all discrepancies and faults with WBTS.Most have done a great

  job on this forum.It was just a fun thing.As far as the 144k materializing,well the latest

  WT, I believe has something about these providing spiritual light from heaven

  Dec KM indicates extreme paranoia over booking hotels NOT on the list

  over the years, the society has included half a page in their annual guidelines when planning for and attending the district convention.. in particular, they have been very insistent that only hotels on the recommended lodging list be used.. .

  the language in this month's km is even more insistent than last years.. .

  Further to my last post.They WTS does not want you to bring food or coffee in the commerical logo

  container,EX.No Starbucks coffee in a Starbuck cup.They want you to transfer in to a brown bag.

  So no one knows whats in the bag.Kind of dumb is it not,could be a bomb..booommmmb.

  Also they make a big stink about when and where the convention is held every year.And

  no one should make any hotel room reservation because you don't know what city the convention

  is being held, RIGHT.WRONG.Good old faithfull INTERNET,just go online and see which weekend

  and city the rooms are getting booked.Usually the 3/4 day bookings is a give away.I have tried

  this "tried and true method" it works.Do this before the end of the year good luck.

  The WBTS negotiates with hotels and get FREE ROOMS (KICKBACKS)

  They cover it up and the R&F don't know anything about their scheme.I was aproached to

  book one of these free ROOMS however, I was told to make the payment directly to

  WATCHTOWER.I ask how did this work and was told because WTS books so many rooms

  they get a certain amount GRATIS. In any case I would be paying for the rooms so just think

  of this as a donation to the WBTS.I just could not believe the under hand scheme.Why not let the poor have the rooms

  taking jw kids out of school for xmas week

  did anyone else do this?the whole week?i was helping out at my sons school this morning and it was mentioned that one of the jw mothers had removed her child from school for two weeks prior to breaking up for xmas!i knew instantly who it was cos i haven't seen her at the school this week, and she is from a staunch elder family who married someone from my old congration who also has a family of staunch elders/pioneers etc so i guess it should'nt surprise me but two whole weeks?

  !this morning was a normal classroom lesson, ok the two jw kids went off and made mince pies(that made me laugh) but it was lessons as usual.

  i'm surprised the school would allow this much time off to be honest.

  They (WTS) say it's a lot less stress.The children don't even have to think about not saying

  Merry Christmas and the kids won't feel bad about not receiving gifts.They like to rub it in

  about how worldly people suffer during Christmas with all the shopping and the cost associated

  with Christmas and aren't we (JW) don't have that stress.

  The worldly people on the other hand say aren't we glad we are not one of those JW.

  We don't have to go door to door at 30 below or at 80 above.To meet the month quota of

  hours and mags/book/rv/bi.s.We don't have to go to five meeting a week,C.A.,D.O. & SAD.

  Also we don't have to stay a hotels that they tell us, Even if we can get them at a cheaper

  rate.Aren't you really glad you don't have to follow a dictator but Christ Jesus.

  Ve..errrry intesting I read some of the cases.Particular Police/milatary

  since the WTS has investments in these, maybe the Lawyers should use

  this avenue to get them at their own game.
