well the sad thing is that a man (or woman) who will cheat on his wife is a man who will cheat on his wife. Sad for the wife. You ought to read Gavin DeBecker's book "The Gift of Fear." He has a lot to say about why women ignore their intuition and how dangerous that is.

Why they get thrown out of houses!
by Dolllie ini requested their new book & home bible study.
i had "studied" with them before when i lived in a different area.. they came to my house, a white lady & a black lady for about 2-3 studies, which went good.. then the white lady came by herself a couple of times & desided no to teach from the book, but had her own "lesson" written out ...." teaching her own doctrine & views on things".
i cancled the next "bible study".... that is the last i have seen of her... she is not welcome at my house!.

so interesting that she was teaching her own doctrine. Did she not think that you would find out the difference if you started attending meetings? I have heard some hints of this before, of long time witnesses developing their own doctrines and teaching them in bible studies. I wonder if anyone else has heard anything like this?

I recently found the mystery series by James Doss, they are very good. He is compared to Tony Hillerman, because he writes similar stories, but James Doss is funnier and takes himself less seriously than Tony Hillerman. I read all the ones I could find, so am hoping he writes a new one.

horrible life - I love your post! I also like the idea of writing the check to the bethelite and then canceling it. Horrible horrible users and manipulators like that need to go get a real job and support themselves like the rest of us do. Help your mom, but don't help the "brothers" bloodsucking useless #*#*#*#*#*#*#* that they are! Whew, have to calm down. Why would an ethical person who is able bodied and able to work take money from an old lady on a fixed income?

SIL succumbs to the cancer :(
by LovesDubs ini wanted to thank all of you who sent prayers and warm thoughts and healing vibes in the direction of my sister in law in california who found out in november that she had pancreatic cancer at age 44. she managed to get five more months before she could fight no more.
my father called yesterday to tell me that despite everyone's best efforts, that she has only a couple days at most to live and that her organs are shutting down.
they are trying to keep her as comfortable as possible and she is surrounded by her family and has a strong faith as a mormon that this isnt the end for her.

I'm sorry to hear this sad news. It's good you are going out to help - I feel really sorry for the husband and kids - especially the kids losing their mom.

I'm so sorry you and your wife are going through this. All I can say is that once you are on the other side and everyone knows who stands where, life is suddenly less complicated and a lot nicer. But the process you are going through to get there is painful. I agree with Rowan. If there is a hell, I hope the GB get a nice place closest to the fire.

grammer and spelling
by Hortensia ini noticed someone correcting spelling for a couple of posters.
it reminded me of a couple of things that really bug me.. "momentarily" as in "thank you for holding.
someone will be with you momentarily.

I'm home from work, wondering what new annoying thing I can say to keep this thread going. I have to say "I could care less" has never seemed logical to me if what you are trying to express is that you don't care at all. Thanks for the info about the ads - I have noticed that the ads on the page seem related to the subject of the posts - now I know why. But something I have been wondering is, who is Simon?

I had to google that one - so do real men wear utilikilts? Is a tattoo required? Is everyone who wears a utilikilt a hunk like the photos on the webpage? I liked the leather one, thought the ones made out of khaki or drill (survival kilt and workman's kilt) were rather unlikely. I don't see the telephone guy wearing one, for instance, although the thought of one of the telephone guys climbing a pole in a kilt is interesting.

this is a funny thread - thanks! I'm with jgnat - I make part of my living by writing, so I read with kind of an editor's mind. Never wanted to be an English teacher, and as my spelling mistake shows, wouldn't be that good at it. I wouldn't be a good editor either, but what I am is a person who writes obscure textbooks on a specific subject, which are edited by someone else. And for those who didn't take it with a grain of humor, I'm sorry. I don't mean to make life hard for newbies, as I am one. I love the funny threads on this forum, just not that funny myself!
by the way, when I first posted this, I noticed that the word "love" is underlined and linked to some crappy website. Not my doing, don't know how that happened!
Now is isn't underlined. Is the JWD forum playing mind games with me?

OK everyone, let's all go back to our seats and calm down. I'm going to bed before I cause any more trouble.
