(I agree with educ8self here)
Still when it comes to that :
Physically : Well I'm not into giving the other cheek ... I'd rather run away or kick asses ... Sorry I'm not ready yet for that ... give me a thousand years to get there ...Verbally : it depends ... if there is something to defend I will just because I want to, otherwise I can turn the other cheek as much as I want too either (I mean do not expect me to always turn the other cheek you might get a slap too, with or without insult) but truly I don't think that insulting people really helps in any matter.

nvgnbk : You are stronger than you realize.
you'll realize that (it's just terrible that most people need to be in an extreme situation to realize it)
Anyway cognizant dissident gave you a soft way to get to the point ... -

It's just so ridiculous to have the feeling that you're life is over at 19... but I can't help it.. help me!
wow ...
Well for me it begans by the need to give and get some love (and the solution was - having a kid - stupid/awfull idea by the way at the age I did but I had stupid/awfull reasons too so ... Still I've never regret it) and when I feel empty what really get me satisfy is to help whoever in a way or an other so that I feel usefull at least.
Knowing everything ? humm ... life is full of surprises ...

"... you can't say to someone 'look it isn't really like that' because
by educ8self in" that's a quote from a lecture given at naropa university on 12 levels of consciousness (or initiation, to use another term) that i go back to from time to time.
i won't get into the whole thing but a recent experience with someone with kind of an innocent attitude helped me appreciate this point.
one of the things said was when you've reached a higher level (which is not to imply better in any sense of personal worth, but simply more inclusive in scope/perspective) you automatically have compassion on those who have not reached that level.

Interesting post ...
To put it another way, we have the power to touch other people's lives. I don't mean this in a touchy-feely sense, just as a reality. So the question is do we do so in a significant way, and is it for better or worse?
I think it's just good to leave it as a question ... so that we always question ourselve about it

Last time I've trie to stoped smoking in 2005 I took 24 pounds (and more - would be very unheathy for me for other medical reasons than cancer or alike to take more than that) ... guess what? I went back to smoking ... and when it was easy before for me to lose weight this time it really took 4 months from april to june 2007 to get them off.

ETERNITY BEFORE CREATION.....THE NON-EXISTENCE.....of GOD!
by Terry inbefore god began creating.......he wasn't a creator.. before god began creating.....there was nothing......and therefore nothing to know.. before god began creating...there was nothing and nothing to know....and therefore nothing to love.. before god began creating...he was alone with nothing to distinguish him from nothingness except--what?
his mind?
filled with what, actually?.

before anything to everything there must have been something (and that's the thing weither you believe in evolution or creation) = THE POTENTIAL (ESSENCE)
I'm going to put it AGAIN shorter :
So From one point (resumed at it maximum) to talk about a begining :
Bible statement (to take a religious example)
God the essence of everything with a spirit began to create at its maturity (by its Christ = maturity).
Forget about the Genesis account it's a story to make it short and understandable for people back then.
it's like everything had the potential to exist but just wasn't ready when not ready ... (like anything not ready yet)Science statement
A cell (I call it like that its simple) began to evolve since it had a chance to means somehow at its maturity (ready to).
But here we have a probleme with missing material (as potentiallyfrom one cell and from what this cells comes if not the potential to be that) to build everything and moreover when you have to take this in consideration about human being with missing links (means no proof) to lead from a point to another in beetween species. What's in RED here means the same actually …
Now you have to realise that everything (even things that we don't know about yet certainly) do existe - so all from a cell or essence (it have to be essence anyway = the potential)
Also we have a spirit (able to love and hate which have something to do with love) is it so hard to link it to the fact that the essence of everything do have a spirit?
It's not a conclusion it's an opinion ...
So the title and all the questions raised in the first post are just well ... PFFFFFFFFFFTitle : ETERNITY BEFORE CREATION.....THE NON-EXISTENCE.....of GOD!
(it's not about eternity) you juste have to take into consideration a potential anyway at some point to lead to an other point (weither you believe in evolution or creation). for instance potential of not being limited and developpe whatever can be (so evolution or creation really looks the same to me - I just put hasard out of it - and just think that everything = God - knows better with it's own maturity = Christ about everything at any point) - so you can take it conceptually or religiously it stays a matter different ways to see things and get to the point. -

Ok maybe you won't classify this song as a love song ...
but to me it is ...I thought about my parents when I've heard this song, because my father had this develish idea to send nice messages to my mother by sending disc 45T (everything mean was face to face) ... of course he never send something like that ... But I would like my mother to hear something like that.

Fear of death.
by JeffT ini'm noticing a trend in the modern world.
everything comes with a scare story.
this was prompted by the shark steak thread and the talk about mercury in the food chain.

I most fear any pain than death (death just looks like : THE END)
I've been close to death twice (which would have been murderers actually)
you may think that being strangulated is painfull but in fact at some point you don't feel the pain anymore, what was painfull was to hear my son in the other bedroom and thinking that his dad was about to kill me (without even realising it / he was acting like a zomby) and that Tony would be an orphan at 9 months. It would be too long to explain but it's the big flow of my tears which saved me (it got very, very, very cold behind my neck/in my hair and his big big big hands. I think that's what woke him up from his zombiness)
Second time didn't really have the time to think about the danger and I was floting in the air head first from the second floor, I just had the time to think : "I'm done" when I've realised that I was standing on my feet - it was like a miracle that my hand joined what we call "la rampe" and reversed my body without even thinking about it.
Death I'm ready (my son is big enough) - pain I don't know
