but now i worry that my divorce (on her side) is being at least partially funded by the wtbs!!!!!!...
Why worry? It would cost you less since you'll probably be ordered to pay her legal fees.

And I'm angry that some do judge me and assume, but never really cared enough to ask why.
Be glad. You couldn't tell them the truth anyway. Let them assume and judge. In their minds you're probably having a pretty exciting life, LOL!

What the hell is wrong with this woman?
by Aussie Oz inmother discovers kid's self harm, asks why, accepts explanation of 'i dunno', ignores it,.
a year later discovers it again and does not ask why, just declares that the kid will be pulled out of school and sent to another and be sent to a psychologist if it does not stop by new year.. wtf?.
to me its like this woman is saying ''i don't care why you did it, i don't want to know, just stop it.

This situation makes me so angry that my first thought is to cause some bodily harm to the mother. What an ignorant, self-absorbed pig she must be! But kicking her ass wouldn't be productive as much as it would be stress relief. Anyway, get the child therapy and be sure to have it noted that the mother chose to ignore the cause of the problem and used threats to eliminate it, (stupid bitch that she is)....(sorry, still a little angry here!) Then you can kick her ass in court! Good luck!!!!!!!

Has domestic abuse against JW women relented over the last 10 years? Discuss.
by cedars insoft+gentle, who i'm sure we are all very fond of, has been expressing some strong opinions on my thread below:.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/bible/218861/1/uk-charity-refuge-gives-response-to-wt-article-on-domestic-abuse.
as soft+gentle's opinions seem to be undermining the seriousness of domestic abuse, i thought the best thing would be to give soft+gentle the opportunity to defend his or her opinions on his or her very own thread.

My experience with jw domestic violence was more than 20 years ago but just a few years ago I heard from an inactive jw relative that a young woman was in the very same situation that I was in. The jw husband was threatening her life and physically abusing her. When she refused to stay in the relationship the elders informed her that she would have to prove adultery on his part in order to remarry.
For those of you who have never been in this situation, let me enlighten you. Being able to remarry is the least of the domestic violence victim's problem. The problem is that the abuser, the predator who injured the victim maintains control. In order to be truly free, you must either stalk the person who was thretening/trying to kill you or passively wait for the abuser to publically commit adultery or confess to it. FAT CHANCE that a master manipulator is ever going to do that!
Domestic violence and its effects against jw women will never relent until the Watchtower changes its stupid rules. Even if the victim removes him or herself from the physical violence, the emotional abuse continues. Your whole future depends upon the actions of a person who somehow couldn't manage to stop humself from beating and threatening the woman he is supposed to love as he loves his own body and as Christ loved the congregation. This organization makes me sick!

Why I Left Jehovah's Witnesses--a 10-page essay by sd-7
by sd-7 inwhy i left jehovahs witnesses.
they can be painful to bear, but sometimes that is part of life in a setting with many people and their various personalities.. it was my examination of evidence that did lead me to leave jehovahs witnesses.
they, of course, had failed to bear proper witness to his name.

Several years ago I interviewed for a part time case worker position at a Salvation Army post. I decided against working for them due to the restrictions they put on some of the assistance they offer. For instance, the SA will help poor people with the cost of prescription drugs but refuse to do so in the case of medicines for mental illness. That sounds just a little too much like Scientology for my taste. I continued to donate during their holiday kettle drives but have decied to stop doing that upon recently learning their stance on homosexuality.
IMO the only way to successfully communicate with any high control group is to hit them in the wallet. It isn't any different with the Watchtower. If the donations dry up, so will they. Although the SA does a lot for charity, they won't be doing it with my money from now on. Bigotry is bigotry, even if it's covered up with good works.
