  Two more exams down!!

  have just finished the fourth and fifth of my 24-unit undergrad degree.

  the first exam was for a very easy unit.

  last week i got a weird phone call that i thought was a telemarketer with extremely poor english who had somehow gotten my details.

  i found out about this a couple years ago.

  it was one of those shockers, that is just hard to accept when you hear about it, when you're not in the "truth".. i posed the question, "why can't they just have a daycare system setup.

  seems that would be a standard setup", but one witness from bethel told me "cause it's not the responsibility of the organization to raise our kids".

  Blondie - You mean the WBTS is giving the ok for higher education????? Oh, sorry I forgot this will benefit them, huh??

  I'm graduating tommorrow

  it's been a nine year battle, but i'm finally graduating from college with a bachelor's degree and a certificate.

  it's important to me that this community knows that.

  there are probably a lot of you here who didn't allow themselves to go to college.

  Would you EVENTUALLY be happy in a JW dominated new system?

  many here say that they wouldn't want to live in a world dominated by jw's.

  i understand.. i know that i wasn't always happy under their rules and way of living.

  i don't like going to meetings, especially 5 a week.

  when i was a teen, i aspired to be an elder.

  from my pre-teens until i was 18, i was in every circuit assembly and district convention----having either ministry school talks or parts or experiences.

  at 20, i conducted a bookstudy in the afternoon, also regular pioneered, was the theocratic ministry school overseer in the 2nd school and regularly taught the main school.

  I'm glad you made it out and are able to look back and say DAMN!!! what was I thinking?????

  It always amazed me how "boyz" were able to give counsel to others "women" that were years older than he??? What the hell did he know?? What experience did he have about life???

  I've always felt that at age 21 - 25 (male and female) if they were raised in the truth lie, they were very immature mentally, emotionally, because they had no real life experiences!!! They were sheltered all their life WTF???

  i have often wondered what's in it for the women???

  i just read the story of minimus and it is so clear that such power and privilege on offer to males in the borg would be enticing and probably addictive... but the women will never have such offers or opportunities.

  they will always be required to be in subjection.

  Yep, for most that are still in it's ok, they truly believe that this is their "lot in life", for those who don't it's because they stand to loose too much if they take a stand.

  what proactive things have you done [or intend to do] to warn others about the cult you have escaped?

  the unfortunate fact of life is that we tend to look only at our own personal benefits from leaving the cult if not careful.

  or we give up after a failed attempt.

  The only persons I've ever tried to "talk to" are my friend from childhood, we recently started talking after years..... of not even knowing where the other was even living and my brother.

  I never seem to be able to make any headway, I'm not real literate with the bible (never really paid much attention) so It's hard to have a come back for their company answers!!!

  Maybe this thread will give me some help!!!! I would love to save as many people as I possible can!!

  i've been married to the same man for 21 years today .

  god knows we've had our ups and downs, but we've been together for 24 years and married 21 of those 24 years!!!!

  Thanks all for the well wishes, by the way my parents have never acknowledged our anniversary. She told me it would never last, I guess I got the last laugh!!! It's soooo sweet!!!!

  Letter to mom

  sent a letter to mom 4 days ago, came back today stamped "returned" on it... she wouldn't even open it... it had some nice comments in it too.

  stupid blanking cult, blinds the eyes of folks so they won't even read what we have to say.
