I never followed the rules. I always said the pledge, stood for it and the national anthem and really didn't give a ratz azz who didn't like it! Why should I stand out for something my parents believed?

south africa is considering bringing in a "pledge" that kids in school will repeat each day.
we never had such a thing as kids growing up, but when the national anthem was sung, we always had to stay seated and not participate.
i remember always hearing about flag saluting in other countries.

if god offered to answer you three questions, what would you ask him?
1. who stole my diary?
2. are there any other earthlike planets in the universe with the purpose of being inhabited by humans?
1. Why couldn't you give us clear directions, instead of the bible written by man that's not so clear?
2. Why did you have to make everyone suffer, couldn't you just zap the bad ones and move on?
3. Why does it take you so long to get things done?
4. Why didn't you get it right the first time, that is if you are god?
Sorry, I had to throw and extra one in there.

i've been thinking about this alot tonite.
what do i talk about with my uncle when i see him on wednesday?
this will be the last time i see him alive.
BB - I've never been in this position and don't look forward to ever having to be. So, although I don't have any encouraging words I can say just being there and letting things happen naturally may be the best. As someone else said, he may lead the converstion.
I do know that with loved ones sometimes the most powerful times are when you are just there, your mere presence holding his hand may be the most moving for him and most memorable for you!
I'm glad you have the opportunity to say good bye. Too often we don't have the chance to say it.

i can only think of one person who actually seemed to have "joy in her heart "on the min when i studied , and even the dubs used to hate being put with this person, it all seems so obvious now that it has nothing to do with a love for god , but doing whats expected of you
was anyone actually proud and happy to be spreading the word(ministry)
NO
Because my family was brought up in it there wasn't really a choice
Exactly, there was no choice. If you didn't go out in service you couldn't go skating, to the movies or anything else that may have been fun!
Stupid cult I hated it then and I hate it now!

i just remembered when i was a kid and we would go to the assembly, it was fun because we got to buy new clothes and put extra effort into looking good.
when we would get there you could save your seats and even save some for your friends, then go off looking for them.. i used to love our circuit assembly because of the food.
it was at the assembly hall and there was a big kitchen, some of my favourite brothers worked in that kitchen, sometimes i was allowed to go in and help.
I also enjoyed going to the Monroe Assembly Hall in Upstate NY,
Hey ElKabong - this is where we used to go and Yankee Stadium of course. Still I never found assemblies to be fun, I hated everything about JWdumb and still do.
We may know each other or know of each other, it's a small, small world!

i'm going in for a routine checkup at the behest of my partner.
she was shocked i've never been tested, and i said well i have no symptoms, i wear condoms, and had very few partners, so i didn't think it was necessary.
really how bad is the "q tip"???
Sorry, you're female, right?
Yup, and have had much more painfull things to happen than what will happen with the Qtip. Stop being whimps! Sheesh!

my psychiatrist told me therapy was not going to cure my headaches (yah).
my home-doctor (i don't know if thats the system you have too, but here we have one general doctor who gives his patient referrals to see specialists), does not believe any referral to any medical specialist will help me.
that's cuz i have tried so much already, and any referral will give me hope that there might be a cure - which in his opninion is not possible.

I can sympathize with you. I've suffered with migraine's for years now. At one point I could have a migraine for 7 days straight, in the dark laying as still as possible. It hurt to even breathe. Finally my neurologist found the right combination of meds for me and my migraines are under control.
I do have flair ups, I had on over the past 3 days. I even went to the ER because the pain was so bad I thought there has to be something else wrong. All tests were ok, they pumped me full of pain meds and antinausea meds. I feel better today, but it's not totally gone.
I definately know how you feel. Try not to feel as though you are wasting your time with the doctors. Doctors are not magicians and don't carry a crystal ball. It's called practicing medicine for a reason. You just have to keep plugging away until you find the answer or treatment that works.

have you looked up urine therapy on the net?
many web-sites praise drinking your own urine as being extremely good for you.
i thought this was nuts!!

It's a Qtip that is gently inserted into the penis. It may be a little uncomfortable but should not be painful and by no means should any medical professional "ram" anything anywhere.
BTW, just because you don't have symptoms doesn't mean you can't be infected. Very common misconception. I'm sure you will do fine and your partner's worries will be squashed an so should yours if she's being tested also!
Good luck and take a deep breath!
