while playing catch with my son on saturday afternoon we noticed the neighborhood boys having a snowball fight.
the temptation was too much and we tossed a few snowballs down the hill at them.
up the street to the corner they came and we headed down to meet them.

i'm a "loner", so no one is following me, and i'm not following anyone.. maybe i tend slightly towards being a follower, but it better be worth my time, or i'll be back to a loner once more.
.
I'm basically a loner and think of myself as a leader. If on occasion, I'm in a group and thinks are going ok (no one is doing anything illegal or dangerous) I will follow the crowd.
But mostly I'm a leader and loner!

this is total and complete fluff, but i just wanted to take a minute and share how awesome my easter weekend was.. saturday night was my buddy's birthday, and our friend who is a federal agent in texas came home to visit, so we went out to one of those japanese steakhouses where they cook in front of you and do a little show.... .
and then today was my " first" easter, so i got to go to a catholic mass, and then went back home to dye easter eggs.... familiarizing myself with the directions:.
the best egg ever:.
Happy Easter RR, Isn't it wonderfull to be like a regular person? Have fun on designated days, let your hair down and just enjoy life???
If this was your first, they only get better, and once you have children you can relive your childhood through them by making birthdays, christmas, easter and all the rest special occasions. Start your own traditions now so that when you do have a family of your own the traditions will already be in place!!!

to most of us here, the practise of shunning a relative who disagrees with the religion, or who chooses a different path, is utterly evil, repulsive and inhumane.. i will never forget the real life stories i have heard relating to the heartbreak and misery that this 'doctrine' brings to families all over the world.
but, what does it take to see through the councel to shun your own children, mother or father?
in my opinion, a person who shuns their offspring or other family, is void of any natural love or affection.
They actually believe that shunning you is in your best interest. They love you and want you to "do right", so by cutting you off you will "do the right thing".
i am.
i think they wait way too long though for their series to come back on!
YES!!! I can't wait!!!
Is it this weekend??

i feel like i need to spill my feelings.
after lurking on the site, i realize my story is like many here.
the reason i am feeling nervous is that i have not broken the news to my parents yet about my inactivity as well as my standing as to what i think about this whole thing.
don’t you always feel like you want to please your parents
No, not at all. Once you get over the fact that they are guilt tripping you, disappointing them won't be an issue. Worry more about how this cult would and could affect your children and your marraige.
You are all grown up now, and disappointing mommy and daddy because you no longer believe as they do is nothing to be guilty about!!
Welcome to JWD!! Look forward to hearing more from you
