my "father" decided to send me an email!

and here we go... my "father", an abusive bastard of a jw, recently sent me an email that put me in a tizzy!

it was late friday night, i had just gotten home from a shift at a local bar where i bartend on occasion!

Days that Go From Bad to Downright Embarassing

so far this monday has been one nightmare after another.. it began with discovering that overnight my computer has wiped my harddrive - everything gone - photos, msn conversations, university assignments, diaries, letters, work docs, movies, videos, unmentionables.

i feel like i have been erased!

why - i have no idea?.

I hope your day gets better. I know all about the bra thing, happend to me on Friday, I was out with my hubby and the damn thing kept poking me, so reached in pulled it out right there at the bar... The hubby thought it was funniest thing ever!!!!

This forum using same type of thinking as Jehovahs Witnesses?

i notice one of the biggest complaints around here about the organization is often related to their constant use of the "us versus them" mentality, (i.e.

"we" need to be seperate from "them" because "they" are wrong and "we" are right).

yet i also notice that many of the posters here use the exact same kind of rhetoric and thinking.

I don't recall ever seeing this on a thread. I do agree that the WTB$ is wrong, it's a cult, it's harmfull to families and children, they brainwash their members keeping them in line with fear tactics. But that is my opinion and if someone happens to agree with me then that is their opinion. No one at JWD has ever said you must think, feel and agree with all on this forum, if not you cannot associate, talk to or have any contact with JWD members.

Just my 2 cents!!

as a dental patient!!

lol.

i went to a new dentist today - my last dentist retired and that was a couple of years ago soooo, i figured i'd put it off long enough.. he was a really great dentist - gave me a really thourough exam and told me that from a dental patient standpoint i was boring - i had perfect teeth, perfect bite etc yadda yadda yadda!!.

My Update

hello all.. as some of you know recently i've realized the importance of really examining the jws yet i'm still a part of it(ms, reg pioneer).

well i have as of late put alot more time into bible reading(with different translation) with a more open mind without the watchtower blinders and it has been very refreshing to me.

the more i read about first century christianity and the message they preached the more i realize just how off the the wt really is.

Congrats on being able to start thinking for yourself. You will feel good at first, but don't be surprized if you suddenly become angry, it's natural!!

If you fiance loves this org more than you, then maybe it's better before you marry then after!!!

I've noticed many of you that have your own ministry. I'm curious as to what doctrines you teach. Is it "Jesus is Love." and that's it or does it go deeper? If you could, please post your basic beliefs concerning these topics:

I don't think anyone here has their own ministry. To the contray, many do not believe in religion or god, that is after the negative experience of being a JW.

1. What happens to a person when they die?

Don't know, but when I find out, I'll be sure to let you know. I suspect we just rot!

2. Who is God and what is his name?

Why does he have to have a name, if he/she is actually a being?

3. Why is there suffering in the world?

Why does everything need to be defined, some things just are!

4. How did we get here?

I suspect evolution, but does it really matter?? We are here make the best of it.

5. According to the Bible, is it okay to participate in wars and politics?

I don't read the bible, if you want to participate in war and politics go for it.

6. Is the Devil real? If so, where did he come from?

As someone else said, as real as any other cartoon character.

7. According to your religion, is it okay to smoke marijuana?

Don't have a religion, it's against the law so therefore it's not ok.

8. According to your religion, is it okay to have pre-marital sex?

Pre-marital sex is a personal choice, I would not buy a car unless I test drove it first.

9. According to your religion, how do God feel about homosexuals?

Again, I don't have a religion. It doesn't matter to me, why should I worry about someone else's business. Not my concern.

10. Does God talk to you personally?

Nope, never has never will I suspect. If he does I hope he apologizes for subjecting me to the cult called Jehovah's witnesses,

tell holocaust memorial museums all over the world they should stop hiding the truth about the watchtower societys decades-long anti-semitic/pro-hitler stance.

while individual jehovahs witnesses were suffering at the hands of the nazis, its mother organization was outspokenly supporting hitler and demeaning jews.
