Crumpet, I have this covered... as you know, I live in a college town, I was working for the masters, and I also have my own busniess. Guys next door are the typical whore hopping youths in college that are always smoking pot and getting drunk; which is fine by me as long as they invite me over once in awhile, share, and as long as they are quiet during the week. One week night they were blowing the lid off and I had to go over 5 times and politely ask them to shut it down becasue it was during the week. Thye never did, so I roused the next morining from the limited sleep I had, put on a Barry Manilow CD with copa cabana on it, turned the volume up to 10, hit repete and went to work... came back 9 hours later and they were on the front porch; dude says, "if you'll please shut that shit off i promise I'll never keep you up during the week again. We both laughed and that was the end of it.

25Noisy Neighbours - what do you do?!

i finally acquaint myself with the "floating ship" that is my four poster bed about 1.30 am, finish watching a favourite lullaby horror movie - wolf creek and close my eyes.. minutes later a door slams right next to my ear and then another and what sounds like a gaggle of adolescent girls (reminiscent of the current manless debacle that is big brother uk this year) screams their way into the flat next door at high volume.
they are talking so loud i can hear every inane word they say.

Is this normal parenting behavior for JWs?
by oppgirl63 inlast night as i was waiting in my truck for my jw roommate to come out from tms, this lady comes out with a young girl crying.
i would say she was about 8 yrs old.
they were the only ones out there and i don't thing they saw me in my truck.

I know oyu don't want to hurt your roomate, but this isn't about her... if you can do it without harming her then that's the best way; but the die is cast... chances are anomous calls to DFACS in your area will revel bruses on this poor innocent child and hopefully will get the mother much needed councling.

We that know better and do nothing are the reasons our friends continue to suffer; taking a stand, being vocal gives those wanting out someone to lean on... shows them they aren't alone. The only reason I decided to come out so strong three months ago was that I found out my 13 year old Nephew was already baptised. A damn slave the the WT and only 13... I coudn't take it that I had been a coward so long knowing the suffering he's sure to endure. I thought, if he see me stand, he'll at least knw there are some that don't agree withmthis and it may plant a seed in his mind when hehas future quesitons. Misquoting Jesus-a must read
by dawg ini've read comments from those of you that still cling to the bible stating that there's no merit in the di vinci code's claim concerning the conference in nicea in 325. we all know that book is fiction but like all great fiction, there's some truth behind the story.
some of you have made statements that the nt was actually written by the apostles, which i refuted, and after asking for and not reciveing information from you believers any bible scholars anywhere that would go on record saying they believed the nt was in fact written by the apostles; i decided to researcht he subject on my own.
i could find no scholars that believed the apostles wrote the nt; as a matter of fact, they all said the apostles couldn't have written them.
