my grandpa died sunday afternoon.i was there in the room with him.i had to watch as he struggled to take his last breaths.it was horrific to watch.this was the second time i have watched someone in my family die.he died of prostate cancer.it was a long and painful death.i'm glad he's not in pain anymore.. at the moment i'm feeling a little emotional and upset about what i saw and all of the jw bs i had to listen too.i'm also dreading the jw memorial which is next weekend.i am planning on going.i'm da ed so i don't expect anyone to come up and talk to me or express there sorrow to me.the thing is i feel like i should be comferted and people should tell me they are sorry i lost my grandfather.i lost someone who i had alot of respect for all of my life regaurdless of how close we were after i da ed.i think i'm going to be excluded at the dinner after.they are planning a reception type thing for after the service.
i'm glad i did get the chance to see him and talk to him before he got really sick.i had the chance to go to dinner with him and my parents and a couple of my aunts a few months ago.when he was leaveing he asked me pointedly for a hug.he said he was collecting them.i hugged him and said i loved him.that was the last time i saw him till i went to my aunts house where he was staying just before he went into hospice.the next time i saw him was 3 weeks ago when he entered hospice and wasn't expected to live the night out.then i saw him sunday i arrived about 20 to 30 minutes before he took his last breath.he was creamated this week and will be buried with my other family in our family plots soon.. anyway i'm just in need of some kind words of support at the moment.i though that jwd would give that to me even though i don't post here that much.it really sucks to feel alone at times like this..
Sorry to hear this. Maybe you can feel comfort in knowing you were there with him and depending on the situation, he knew loved ones were there with him.
Many people don't get this opportunity. I hope you can have peace in your heart soon, and always remember the positive in the life he lead and had with you, however much it was.

One witness told me that having the News on TV, after I said it's just filled with all negative BS, helps them to keep up on current topics to go preaching with.
So, this too, is the mind set. Everyone else in the world is bad, evil, destructive, murderers, thiefs, adulterers, druggies, fornicators, etc, etc. They THINK and are lead to believe that this is ALL of the rest of the world for some reason. Proves that they love to prey on the sad, miseable, depressed people out there. They use the negativity to draw people in.
This can contribute to them thinking they are above the rest as well.
i find it interesting reading posts from ex-witnesses or those that are slipping away and yet the terminology is still brain-washed into us.
i mean, i've managed to stop using the terms myself.
sometimes i might catch myself using the term "the truth" or "brother" or "sister", but i quickly correct myself.. the fact is for me, as much as i agree with a lot of their values and beliefs, those people were not my "brothers and sisters" nor was the organization "the truth".

They revealed the hovering on another show on prime time one night.
Blain turns his back to the spectators, feet tight together, concentrates, and then he is seen raising up about a few inches off the ground. for a few seconds.
This is done by being just slightly at an angle with back toward the people watching you. Pretend to concentrate, then with the ONE foot that has the front of the foot out of sight, lift your body up on that front part of the the foot slowly. Your other foot WILL completely be raised off the ground. It will appear that both of your feet have left the ground.

My heart hurts over this cause I truly enjoy them, and feel so sad that the wife will pass up and miss out on such a beautiful love of a child, only to look back when she's in her 60's and cry from regret she never had any, and this "system" hasn't ended yet. Her parents had multiple children, and I think how would she like it if her mother had decided to feel the same way??
I feel she would be a good mother...it's sad.

someone had told me that he didn't believe the gb members were straight and honest people that many of their ideas were wrong and that they had a secret agenda to pursue beyond the one they publicly proclaimed.
at the time i thought he may be right since they seemed to control everything and didn't allow anyone to contribute even the (so called) anointed.
Yes, one must not forget, to NOT "stumble" your brother. On the flip side, it's ok to go to your "brother's" house for a party and stare at his wifes rear end until there was a hole burned into her britches! Just don't let anyone catch you.....too late!!
