My user name simply means I continue to carry on in my search for "truth" whatever that is. But after coming, seeing, and witnessing, I leave the JW thing behind and continue on.

Putting Christ back into the mix- This summer

with the upcoming district convention theme "follow the christ" , could this be a way the wtbs gets jesus back on the map with the organization?

No, I don't......If this were the case they would say, "Follow Christ Jesus" or some such. It sounds to me that since "Christ" means annointed, they are simply saying: "Follow the Annointed"........in other words, the Governing Body. I may be wrong, but with all the changes taking place, it's going to be tougher to control the r&f to the extent they've been able to do in the past. So, I think they are going to start emphasizing even more the importance of following GB directives. The new "for members only" issue of the WT next year will tighten the screws even more.

New track work

once again the witnesses are being pushed out there for new track work, inviting people to the district convention for the summer.. this is the third time in a few months that they go nuts in trying to cover their territory.. another way to try to get the dead witnesses out there and preach.. when will it end?

Yeah....my sis is real excited about the tract work. Seems like this year it's a bigger deal than usual. Does anyone think that maybe the society is going to call this one of the "trumpets sounding" from Revelation? You know, like they did one of the 1925 conventions?

Personal Revelation

sorry i do not post much but i do not have much original things to share because everyone here seems to cover it all.

i have had something strike very close to home and i thought i might share it incase someone out there might be thinking the same thing and is trying to put their finger on it.

i should give a small history on it to set it up.. growing up in the truth i was a model young man.

God knows who really needs to get out of this org and sometimes I think He takes a personal interest in those who have been treated like you and your wife were. He reads the heart and some of us truly suffer from our association with people like them and in order to stay close to Him, we have to remove ourselves from the fake love and fake concern and fake doctrine and fake worship in order to find real Truth. Some don't sincerely care about real truth. They just plod along blindly doing what they're told to by the borg. Some really do need Truth in order to maintain a real relationship with God, so they are guided out into the Light.

i got this in an email today and it came at just the right time.

some days the pain we experience from our loved ones shunning us simply because we have chosen a different spiritual path can be excrutiating.

if i had chosen a life of immorality or a criminal path, perhaps i could justify it to some extent, but all i did was study, research, pray, and choose to go in a different spiritual direction.

That's exactly why it's so frustrating sometimes. All you want is the same respect they expect from you. If you're flesh and blood, it's only natural to be interested in how someone you love thinks and why they came to think that way. It's just normal. But with the JW's, they aren't interested. All we want is a chance to explain why we feel the way we do. We just want to be respected for having come to our conclusions with intelligent reasoning. Just listen, dammit!
