Due to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, I wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem? Remember, it's 27,000 pedophiles that they know about. What about the thousands that don't get caught? While keeping names confidential, of course, it would sure be perhaps a healing for others out there to see they are not alone with this issue, and by the same token be a revealing eye opener for those jw lurkers who are sitting on the fence deciding if they still trust the organization. So if you feel free to share some experiences it will keep this issue to the forefront in people's minds, while not allowing the watctower society to bury it quickly with child abuse settlements under the carpet. How many?

i've found this board to be of great help & support because our son is currently being brainwashed into the cult by his wife and kh members.

hi, Lavendar...I have never been a witness but Mr flipper was born into it. Iv'e had no use for religion since I was kind of thrown out of Catholic school after 6th grade for refusing to be a suckup ratfink. I got on here to research after Mr f's family started acting bizarre - boy what an eye opener. I had no idea how crazy the jw system is and I have a great deal of respect for those who have gotten out under such stress. Mr f and his 22 yr old son never quite fit in - they think too much and had outside friends, it wasn't as hard for them to leave except for the treatment they've gotten from family. Oh, man, I hope your son escapes becoming one. Good luck. flipper

Minimus, great subject. Thanks for starting this. If more people were careful about who they confided in, then there would be more people able to fade quietly from this without being harassed and hounded , and stalked always having to look over their shoulder. I tried for four years. They still found a reason to chase me even after quietly fading that long. Mr. Flipper

Drew, Mr. Flipper here. I went to a jc appeal committee meeting about a month ago with my 22 yr old son as my witness defending me against false allegations of "circumstantial evidence" fornication from last August 2006. It took that long because I refused to meet with them at a first jc meeting due to the falsity of it. My son and I stood our ground and stuck to our positions of this being a vendetta brought about by ex-wife of 9 years ago who hates that my son left the org. too. Now she's out to get me. The elders were so intimidated by my son and I remaining calm and confident, quoting to them from their own elders manual which sat on my lap, they didn't know quite how to respond. They are used to people lowering their heads in alleged fear and respect for them, they don't know how to deal with your cool confident demeanor. I say try to put them off balance by being respectful but firm, not cowering in fear, but not raising your voice either. Stick to your convictions, stay balanced ,non emotional, don't say you "don't believe this is God's org." they asked me that and I said, "it's a personal thing I feel which I don't want to share, I'm confused , I don't know".The elders brought me back in and said," we don't know what decision to make. We'll have to think on it awhile. We'll let you know in two weeks. That was over a month ago.Drew if you confuse them and give them things saying you'll sue their ass like I did for slander and abuse,they have to consult the society to rely on them for an answer. Who knows, but at least you will not have played their game, not let them control you.Good luck to you my friend

she left me today......
by theinfamousone ini went out to see my sister and my mom... when i got back she said she was leaving... when i asked why, she said she was weirded out by my lack of trust.... i couldnt trust her,, so i hid things... its not her fault, its not like i was lying or anything, but i mean some shit, i just didnt tell her... i am so used to being called names, lectured and torn apart for being 100% honest, that now, i still am scared to let anyone completely in... now the best thing that ever happened to me is gone... she left and im not sure shes ever coming back... and iom not sure who to blame.. i mean its obviously my fault, but did the borg put a fear of trusting into my heart and soul?
i guess i cant blame anyone but myself... but at this point, im so torn and hurt that im not sure what to do... all i know is that what was finally having the semblance of family to me is now gone... the first time i was able to live with someone and love someone, albeiut with an ingrained sense of distrust, has disappeared, probably never to return..... .
this has broken me, i don't know what i will be doing with myself for the next couple of days... i feel almost dead inside... the infamous one.

Infamous one, Mr. Flipper here. I know Mrs. Flipper and I get along great and are madly in love. But before I met her I was with women who were dishonest, one even unfaithful. So we have found that open communication really works to build up trust in each other and helps us deal with our fears from the past.But it takes both parties involved being totally honest from the heart if you want to get deep and truly understand where the other person is coming from. Ya know we all carry baggage with us whether we openly admit it or not, whether we got it from how we were raised, and I mean how we were raised mentally, emotionally,how our parents taught us or lack thereof, you know? Of course we all have the ex-witness crap also. So hang in there bud, give it some time, see if you can talk it out with her. As Pink Floyd said in one of their songs,"Keep Talking".
