now the story goes that god has abandoned humanity to "self rule" for a period of six thousand years.

correct me if im wrong.. now during this time, mankind is supposedly left to rule itself, and fail miserably, thus demonstrating that only theocratic rule can maintain peace, bliss and happiness.. well, i think gods cheated.. in my humble (satanic) opinion, if man is supposedly ruling himself, the god shouldnt be interfering and moulding events.. a big example:.

It's the Bible trustworthy word of God?

i have many doubts about the bible itself.. many, many doubts.

when i was jw, ive never questioned the bible firmly believing in their brain washing.

i came out from wts because their lack of strict adherence to the bible.. but... when ive started to read some more independent materials and started to use my own brain, some serious questions started to puzzle me a lot.. the biggest problem i have with the bible is the fact that almost nothing there is written clearly and informations the bible contains are interpretable in many different ways.

a thread started by realist which mentioned the flood and the disappearance of the dinosaurs got me thinking.

since i do not own a bible i had to download one from the internet to check a few things out (my computer is really pissed at me now).

it's been many years since i read the bible but i needed to be accurate in my research to ask my question.

Does Knowledge of Evil Condemn Us?

ordinarily i would post this topic in the "bible research" forum, but i found the following on the "friends" forum, in the "tree of what" thread, so i will leave it here.. achristian explains,.

[when] free people have a knowledge of evil they always, at least briefly, consider doing evil.

and, even having evil thoughts for a brief fleeting moment makes people less righteous than god.
