  small thing i noticed in the blanket un statement the society always says.. "when we realised this, we immediately withdrew our registration.

  Perfume / Cologne

  there are some perfumes that i absolutely just love and a little squirt of it can bring back such good memories, make you feel sexy.

  my favorite is dolce & gabbana (red), followed by d&g "the one", followed by coco chanel .

  on men, i love the smell of the original hugo boss - used to make my tummy clench in a good way .

  I remember a sister in my congregation who was sensitive to perfumes. She'd often have to sit in the back room because of it... she'd wind up with serious sinus infections because other sisters insisted on wearing heavy perfume. Made me stop and think and I don't wear perfume a lot because of it.

  I sometimes wear it when I'm going out but I restrict it to one spray... so I can sniff it occasionally but no one else is knocked out.

  Vanderbilt... my all time favourite. Chanel No 5 & Opium are great too. I bought a bottle of Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. last year... different to my norm, very nice fragrance.

  what is your take on the latest from adobe and their lease only option for future versions of their software?

  pay the monthly fee or lose the use of the program..

  Actually, they removed that condition with CS5. As long as you are a qualifying student you can use their products for commercial use as well as educational. You just can't use it exclusively for commercial use. But you wouldn't be a qualifying student in the first place if that was the case.

  They also improved another part with Creative Cloud... you can now install both Windows and Mac versions if you own both systems... couldn't do that before when the software was purchased up front.

  Time will tell I guess.

  i work in a line of work where i have to help people who have suffered from scams a lot.

  so i thought i would pass on some thoughts to people here, to maybe prevent you from having these scams take money or time from you.

  oh, and as much as some of these seem obvious ... people fall for them daily and constantly.. 1. an american citizen can not win a foriegn lottery.

  People who pioneer on government assistance

  i had a chat with my boyfriend about this, and he said that he knows quite a few pioneers who are capable of working but prefer to pioneer with government assistance.

  his thought was, "well, it's kind of bad, but at least they're doing something useful/good with their time.

  " i know from reading this board that it's a pretty widespread thing.

  I'm not sure if this is the 'dole bludgers' type story the current affairs type shows love...

  In my congregation, there was a couple who were on unemployment who reguarly auxilary pioneered, but in all fairness they were also actively seeking employment. The wife did work a few hours a week and last I saw her she was aiming to increase her working hours by diligently working hard at her job.

  There were others though... including a regular pioneer who was on the dole and expressed no interest in looking for work. She justified herself with already being employed and getting paid by the government for her job... just like a public servant. Somehow I don't think Centrelink would have agreed with her.

  Probably wouldn't hurt to mention here... Adobe have made the entire CS2 Suite available free of charge... along with a few other older programs. Good for those with older systems however I did manage to install it all on my notebook running Windows 7 without any problems.

  Kinda mixed about it. I can understand Adobe and I can also understand the backlash. I like Creative Cloud... to get the lot for $50 a month and always have the latest version is a pretty good deal to me. As I'm a recently enrolled Graphic Arts student, it's only $15 a month... for the entire Creative Suite. Excellent value. Having said that, I realise not everyone likes the concept.

  I agree... disfellowing and shunning should be two separate issues. After all, you can be ex-communicated in most religions but not shunned.
