Sad News Orangefatcat's husband died this morning.

this is one of the sadest days in my life, my beloved husband marco passed away this morning at 5:15 am.. it has been a dreadful day.

but my dear friend was with most of the day while we went togerther to make funeral arrangements.. that was really hard on me.

i have done nothing but cry and cry all day, i finally fell asleep a few hours ago while my friend diane was here and she let me sleep.

this is a cool video that's pretty funny, but it's pretty much for the atheist crowd.

As an atheist, you'll have a world view that is supported by scientific evidence and those facts will be taught in public schools using taxpayer money funded mostly by Christians

ok, this is a fun thread inspired by my recent news that i can now tell my boss "i quit" as i have another job elsewhere (doesn't start for 3 weeks though) .

it could be an actual experience, or it could be something you make up.

when i look around at all the people in the world, i'm comforted to know that jehovah will soon destroy them.. i'm talking about people that don't attend our encouraging christian meetings.

yes, people that don't zealously participate in the preaching of the good news.

I shall be signing up for aux pioneering next month. Who needs those worldly luxuries such as food, electricity or employment? I'll pay my Landlord in watchtower litreature, I just know he'll be so pleased to receive this life giving information, I'm sure he'll agree to a study. I can see him now leaping for joy for the truth, who wouldn't want to be a part of this wonderous organisation?

I don't know about you, but I plan on selling all my belongings and pioneering with Brother nvrgnbk in the short time remaining.

Your words have inspired me Sister Mary, I've called the secondhand store, they shall be picking up my worldly possessions tomorrow. They insist on giving me money for these items, I don't need it, I'll give it to our wonderful organisation to help them continue their worldwide work of saving as many people from becoming bird food as possible.

Brother Nvrgnbk, I'm sure jehovah is looking down on me now and glowing with pride that he was able to snatch me away from satan. I shall be talking to an elder about this, they have the knowledge and the truth, we must do everything they tell us in order to survive armageddon which is going to be here any day now. They've been reminding us of this fact for more than 100 years, will we ever learn? Thank you for the reminder.

Dear Brother Nvr

Thank you for your encouraging words. They were balm on my spiritual wounds that I have been inflicted with of late. I'm ashamed to admit I have let in the demons of worldly thinking get to me. Free thinking, education, having a social life, you've put me back on track with your untimely reminder that the end is so very very close.

I'm happy to report that I found the source, I bought a second hand coffee mug with a university logo on it. I have since rectified this by smashing the mug. It took a considerable amount of effort. I had to hit it with a sledgehammer whilst standing on my entire watchtower volume set whilst calling on the name of Jehovah. Eventually the demons exited the mug and allowed it to break.

This Sunday, I'm gonna be sitting at the front of my KH, with my kingdom smile wider than ever, in comfort that my family who do not give the watchtower society credit for being the most loving (not to mention accurate) religion in the world (as well as the only religion that truly follows our heavenly father), will soon be bird food.

GETTING EVEN WITH JUNK MAILERS.....

we all get junk mail, or applications for credit cards we don't want or even asked for.

i got six applications in the mail today.

i've phoned these numbskulls before and told them to stop sending me this stuff, as i don't want their credit cards.

Definitely not. Like others have already posted, growing up with them hampered my personality more than anything else. When I left I had no social skills, very little education and I had been unemployed for several years. The first think I did was finish school, with subjects such as Legal Studies & Women's Studies (or Liberal Feminism). I would say it took me a good five years (or more) to de-program what they 'taught' me.

Your social skills suffer big time because, well, you don't have any thanks to them. Most of my 'social' time was spent with people who I wouldn't have had a thing to do with if we weren't in the same cult. Even then, I always felt a 'falseness' in the atmosphere, like I was acting a role in a play and never being myself.

DO YOU THINK THERE'S A CURE FOR CANCER?

do you think the scientists, doctors and pharmeceutical companies know of a cure for cancer that they're not telling us?

when you consider the leaps and bounds in medical discoveries that we've made in the last 50 years, it seems incredible that they're still using chemotherapy and radiation as the treatment for cancer.. while i was one of the lucky one who has survived cancer (so far), it's always in the back of my mind that it could return.

we all have friends who died before their time because of this rotten disease, yet the only progress that seems to have been made is that they can now 'detect' it earlier, which of course gives you a much greater chance of survival.. there have been stories of people who have been cured through alternative medicine, yet no one in the medical field seems to be interested in anything other than chemo or radiation.

funkyderek: I was saying, firstly that your claim that no pharmaceutical companies have been prosecuted for making false claims is not true. Two of the four links you posted are about cases of pharmaceutical companies being prosecuted for promoting their drugs for unapproved purposes or making false claims. Didn't you read them?

I never said they had not been prosecuted at all, I said the FDA has never prosecuted any pharmaceutical company for misleading advertising. They'll take any company with alternative therapies to court, but never a pharmaceutical company.
