lately, i have been seriously considering a slow fade out from the jw.

obviously, i have family in the jw and i don't want to cause them trouble.

but then, lately, some of the family that is not jw is studying and even asking me to study with them!.

I already read the two books from Brother Franz. I'd say the reading was very interesting, but odly enough, must of the things he wrote about simply confirmed things I already knew.

Its such a shame he passed away before I had the courage to read his writtings.... I knew about him a while back, but I was told so much bad things about him that I ignored his existance for too long... now its too late.

Anyways... I find myself in a spot where I like my JW friends and family, still want to preach the bible, but can't preach the WT's version anymore.

So, until I find a happy place, I am not free!

Lately, I have been seriously considering a slow fade out from the JW. Obviously, I have family in the JW and I don't want to cause them trouble. But then, lately, some of the family that is not JW is studying and even asking me to study with them!

I personnally still believe in God, Christ, Salvation, Ransom Sacrifice, even Paradis on earth. Therefore, I'd be more then happy to review these believes in the bible with them. But then, there are other things that I don't believe: 144 000 being a real number; Only the anoted should partake; the WT is the only true religion; do not use any blood transfusion; 1914; etc.

Suddenly, I find myself in this impossible position where I realized that as long as I am known as a JW, I am not even able to preach the bible whole heartedly as it could get me disfellowshipped if the non jw talk to any jw about it.

I'll try to forget about it for now, but sooner or later, something's gonna break.

Hooray for Apostasy against blunders and nincompoopery!

if you change religions by changing your mind and by moving on to something "better" then technically you are apostate.

consequently, unless you are born a jw you have to abandon another religion to become a jw.

so, being an apostate is a good thing if you abandon some other religion, but, if you abandon the jw's you are bad.

But, if JW's have lies and distortion--they have every reason to fear criticism and would necessarily cringe at having their deeds exposed to the light of day.

This is my main issue with the WT. Not being able to discuss anything. I believe that if they allowed that, the rest of the main issues would be resolved.

when you look at the picture the borg always show of armageddon everything is destoryed.

i mean nothing left everything gone.

I find the very question ridiculous... If God made the incredible miracle of Armageddon, I'm sure he could perform the miracles needed in order to help the survivors taking over the planet.

1) Be transparent: Expose much more information about the WT such as the number of excommunicated or deaths due to suicide or abstaining from blood.

2) Abolish Excommunication (Keep public reproof or "noting") and favor honnest open discussions about the WT teachings: The truth should hold up by itself.
