Most Ex-JWs R Not Active in the Anti-JW Community. Maybe 1%? Any thoughts?

yesterday i called a family on the west coast that were in my congregation 18 years ago.

between parents, kids and marriage partners, there were six of them who had been witnesses.

they have all faded, and have had nothing to do with the witnesses for at least 15 year or more.. yet, none of them is in any way active even in looking at the ex-jw sites online.

Those inactive that don't know about the UN and child abuse cases, dates 1914 and other stuff, don't need to. The biggest stumbling block in the congregations and NO 1 reason folk become inactive, is lack of love, and other stumbling blocks are elitism, neglect, feelings of unworthiness and some just tire out, they can't live up to all the rules. Then they are called apostates if they say anything.

The congregations have become like childrens homes, and spy camps. People eventually start dying inside where their is no love and warmth, those that are regemental organizational robots love it, so the meek and sensitive get trampled on.

Is it true that the WT uses hypnosis covertly during KH meetings?

i personally am a sceptic regarding the validity of hypnosis as a form of mind control.

i associate it with entertainment tricks pulled by stage performers.. i never experienced any weird happenings during my only two visits to a kh.

is anyone able to refute me?

Was to progress the preaching work, what a priveledge they had. Once was done in the world of that time the tongues ceased, was Gods work not mans.

What happens to Christ after he subjects himself to God?

1 cor 15:28 - when he has done this, then the son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that god may be all in all.

what happens to jesus at this point?

if he is part of a trinity, does he meld into god and disappear?

Perhaps Jesus will turn all power and authority back to His God, Jehovah. I am okay with that wonderful thought of a loving son handing over the kingdom to Jehovah.

I feel very comfortable with that.

Elders' wives and elders' kids - any different from the RnF?

elder's wives - the general impression of them in my congregation is that they are not to be messed with.

ews are all smiles in front of guests but brutally unaccomodating to more familiar brothers and sisters.

they put much effort in making "good" comments at the meetings, with the occasional veiled insult directed at certain individuals (i suppose this is the only outlet for a lady in jehovah's patriarchy).

It's all politics everyone is being ruled by the Governing Body. I thought we were suppose to follow Christ but its all modeled on the world.

Rutherford Meets With Moyle: His Response--from the Trial

i was reading the transcript of the moyle trial that atlantis shared here and towards the end came across this section the society (they were the defendants) had provided to the court of minutes of a meeting of the wtbts re: moyle's letter and it included rutherford's comments to the board and to moyle (who was present).

i'd never seen it before and thought it very interesting.

why do you believe that christ comes back in the flesh, he died, he is a spirit, doesnt' the word talk about a presence.

can the dead be brought back to life?...there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.-acts 14:15. .

an article published by the bbc, sparks some controversy about dying or near death experiences.. the article goes on to state that individuals who were clinically dead were brought back to life.

individuals who past on to the "afterlife" claimed: "it was beautiful, one of the most wonderful.
