"Evil Laugh"

just wondering if anyone else has aquired the "evil" laugh after they stopped being a jw?.

few months ago with-in my family (the non-witness side) i confided about many of the things i have come to learn from this site and other sources.

being as some familys do, word got around about my "apostate" thinking.

i'm going to buy my first laptop in the next week or two.i want to know what else i'll end up needing to go online with it at a wifi hotspot?there are a few of them around where i live at coffee shops and things like that.do i need a wireless service provider when i'm at these hot spots??.

also what would you recomend i get for use at home?i have a dsl modem that will allow me to have 4 computers pluged into one modem.i want to be able to use my laptop anywhere in my house.what do i need to reach these goals with a laptop??.

i've heard of wireless cards and wireless routers.but i don't know what they do or if i need them.i've never used a laptop before i have only ever used a desktop..

I agree with pope. Kidnap a nerdy 15 year old kid from the local school and slip him a $20 to set it up for you. Don't trust the sales guy either and if you do get vista get 1GB memory - no less. Otherwise stick to XP

Can a JW have a relationship with a non-JW(me)

if the girl is baptized already really into it, is there any way she could build a relationship with me?

do i even have a chance to develop something with her or is it just a castle made of sand?

If you don't have any heart strings attached yet I definitely agree - run away. However if you think she is worth it and it's worth a try I would only go into it with the view of getting her out. I got involved with a non-JW after I was disfellowshipped thinking I would go back later and hopefully she would come along. THANK GOD (or someone) SHE DID GO OUT WITH ME and she helped me stay out and eventually wake up to myself after a few years.

Be prepared if it doesn't work out like that though - like I said sometimes it's better to leave well alone...

Rollerdave returns to the KH!

well folks, it had to happen, i returned to the kingdom hall.. or at least to its parking lot.. but not to worry my little jwd'ers, my return was in true rollerstyle!.

i had dropped off my mom a few days previous when she made some remarks that steamed me, i had felt she was talking through her teeth, but i now know i could only have been half right.. she calls and rambles a while, then directs me to keep her teeth safe.

after i got the explanation for this cryptic remark from her i go and investigate..... there, on my bathroom counter, next to the tushie-cleanliness paraphernalia, is an unexplained white plastic container which contained my mother's lower plate.. smelled 'minty.'.

Ok - concerned about the leather chaps. Reminds me of a police academy move and a blue oyster bar. However, good story Dave. I might have to organise to pick up my grandmother from the meeting one day soon. I think I will buy a big apostate truck just for the occasion
