Donahue Comments on Jws
by Kenneson inhow many of you watched donahue wed. night?
his program revolved around separation of church and state.
there were discussions on the ten commandment issue in alabama, prayer at graduation exercises, the use of the word god in the pledge, etc.

I definately agree with John on this one because Jerry Foulwell er, Fallwell had his way he would force everyone of us to worship a god that some of us don't believe in. The JW's (intentionally or not) have paved the way for the rest of us to have the freedoms that we enjoy. I would rather have them as my next door neighbor because they would not bother me as soon as I've told them that I was disfellowshipped. (HA! HA! )

Here's my perspective on the possible war on Iraq. I wish that the U.S. government would own the responsibility of creating this monster. We had supported this regime (sp?) right up until he invaded Kuiwait in 1990. I believe that if the U.S. admit that we created this monster then we must state to the world that we must destroy this monster then we would have the world supporting us.

Do You Believe In God Or Not?
by minimus inif you've been associated with the witnesses, believing in god was a necessity.
do you still feel that god exists?
if you believe in god, do you feel that he cares about you?

I believe that gods and goddesses are functions of life that exists within our daily lives. We invoke these gods and goddesses daily either consciencely or sub-consciencely through our actions. Life itself is eternal.

Bill Bowen's Comments on Ray Franz
by silentlambs ini wish them peace.
at the end of the conversation i did not feel we were in agreement.
for similar reasons i believe ray has not supported the issue of child abuse being a problem in the organization to media and by personal comments to persons who ask him privately about this.

Damned good letter there, LB. Keep up the good fight. What I love about it is that it is written in a way that shows your determination. As we say in Klingon," Qapla! (success !)"

I have as yet to read the works of the above mentioned individuals and I hope to one day. There is one thing that cannot be twisted as the bible or koran are and that one thing is the True Law of Cause and Effect. If these things are true then the effects of their causes ( good and bad) will manifest themselve if they haven't already.

Did the Watchtower Society inspire you?
by kenpodragon inas i stepped onto the sand of the beach i looked to the west and saw waves crashing over the distant rocks.
they collided with the rocks with a mix of violence exploded into the beauty of white water, that burst into a mist that produced the colors of the rainbow as it disperse the light of our sun, all in the glimpse of one moment.
one moment in time, that i witnessed in only just this first step on to the beach, imagine what the other ones were going to find.

Isn't it wonderful to be a part of our enviorment at that single moment as the one you described in your opening paragraph? In Niciren Buddhism we call it "esho funi" or "oneness of person and enviorment. I have learned that no one can ever take the good moments away from you without your permission. Please remember this always.
