They'd be flocking into Canada by the planeload if it wasn't so cold in the winter. They are probably more decent than the pond scum that immigrated here in the last 20 years. Bunch of drug dealers gone bad in this town. Last Friday there was a scary drug deal that went bad. Gangland execution of 6 people in an apartment. 2 were accidental witnesses.

by Frank.L ini've "celebrated " christmas once or twice with past girlfriends but i have to admit i cant stand it.i did it out of respect for them.
why the hell is jesus so damn important to me that i have to celebrate this guys friggin birthday?
i understand that society has made christmas into a comercial holiday for those who dont want to make it about jesus but i for one cant pry apart all the jesus stuff, songs and the rest of it from the religious part of it.

Looks like some here still have their Borg implants running at cyber speed. As I said to my JW friend recently I am glad I was never forced into something so mind nummingly irrelevant. So many of you have had all the fun sucked out of you.
Our family enjoys the time together-Jesus is not the reason-living is the reason(not knocking Jesus though). We don't get together for pagan reasons, we get together because we are flesh and blood. We do it several times a month. No love bombing, just love of family. No specific reason at all, unless a turkey or ham is on sale.
We are a real family, not a false family. No shunning-all is welcome including friends.
But it IS a choice- we simply choose to be happy. It's also ok to do nothing at all. To those, merry nothing.

the people who can sing, dance, write, draw or have interesting intellectual conversations about life.
when i go to the hall, i hear the same boring conversations over and over again.

When you are told you are only a slave, what does that do for your self esteem? Independent thought wiped out. I have met several witnesses who have talent- they are not allowed to show it.

Nothing will get printed without verification. You should ask to speak with a reporter. Usually,a reporter will have sympathetic ears. It could get published as a story if you pursue, but your name would have to be anonymous . Good luck-please perservere.

Is Satan getting a bad rap?
by lovelylil inthe thread on spiritism got me thinking about all the ridiculous things the jw's in my hall blamed on satan.
like their kid getting a cold and they had to miss the meeting or getting a flat tire on saturday, thus missing field service.. i always wondered if satan is such a powerful spirit creature, why the hell would he waste his time flattening tires or causing a runny nose?
you would think he would be causing wwiii or another plague or something!.

Forrest Gump came out on video around the time my brother commited suicide. Forrest lost Jenny- I lost my bro.
I remember the scene at the gravesite when all the birds landed on the tree. Forrest left a letter there.
Many years later I still wish things were different.
