  i've "celebrated " christmas once or twice with past girlfriends but i have to admit i cant stand it.i did it out of respect for them.

  why the hell is jesus so damn important to me that i have to celebrate this guys friggin birthday?

  i understand that society has made christmas into a comercial holiday for those who dont want to make it about jesus but i for one cant pry apart all the jesus stuff, songs and the rest of it from the religious part of it.

  I work with one, and needed to get answers from when the 2 of us had study sessions. The problem is that almost everything he has told me, is the opposite of what I have found out on this blog.

  Now you might ask me whom do I believe? I was hoping to have believed in him, because it all sounded fine, 'till the pieces of the puzzle weren't fitting well.

  Drug Addiction- Meth addiction, Did You Know Someone Addicted? Dangerous!

  i felt it was good to start a thread on this as methamphetamine addiction has become one of the most abused drugs in our society.

  unfortunately, from what i've heard is it is relatively cheap to make , not as expensive as other drugs, and highly addictive once a person is " hooked" they have an extremely hard time getting off it.

  crank or speed as it is called makes people highly aggressive, mean spirited, and can make them violent.

  I told my JW friend about this discussion, and although we disagree on some topics, he showed me some bible passages that clearly state if you support the death penalty, and you call yourself pro-life you are a hypocrite. Pro life is for all human life.

  The funny thing is that most right wing nutbags clearly want the government to stay out of peoples lives, except a womans womb. Another double standard.

  I was told today by my friend that a person thinking like that could NEVER be one of Jehovahs Witnesses (not that I would encourage that).

  Try reading the Bible one more time, and stay away from my wifes reproductive organs. None of your damn business.

  Girls living alone....

  my husband and son are gone until this monday.

  i'm kinda freaked out and let the dogs sleep on my husbands side of the bed.. doors are locked, windows secured, phone by my side.

  i finally get to sleep, and at the ungodly hour of midnight the door bell is ringing and the dogs go nuts!

  I gave blood today and it hurt...

  i go into the blood mobil today as i usually do every 8 weeks.

  they ask me a gezillion questions like have i had sex with a prostitute and etc.

  i answer no as usual.

  If donating on one side becomes difficult-like plugging up-like my left arm, I have switched to my right arm. To control bruising, I have asked for some ice and that trick works. You must keep pressure on the puncture for 5 minutes or more, otherwise problems. I have donated 37 times and it taught me an important message. When my blood pressure exceeded what they allowed, I did something. I lost weight and did some vigorous exercise for about a year. Before 150 over104-declined. Now 120over 82 (normal). Plus they check my blood for abnormalities.

  Hope the next time is better.

  By the way there is plenty of stories to tell about the condemned sentenced to death, and unable to prove their innocence 'till after the dna proves it years later. Then an innocent life is lost. Who then takes the responsibility for that death, for now I would consider this as murder. Who then "get's it"? Hundreds in the US were innocent and put to death.

  It is no wonder that religion is losing its appeal.

  reread your bible- pro lifers seem pro life 'till you are born. Then.....hang 'em high.

  I often wondered why pro lifers are so against birth control. If pregnancies were avoided, there would be little need ot terminate a fetus, but condoms are always frowned upon. And I remember the Catholics freaking out whenever "the pill" was mentioned. The death penalty is God's decision, not yours. Unless the bible is bs. Maybe you think so. You can't have it both ways. I don't. There is only 1 God, and it's not me.

  Once again-my wifes woumb is private property. The choice is between her and her God. Not total strangers. And yes it is hypocracy to be pro life, and support the death penalty. You cannot be on both sides of the fence. Just like the hypocrate running the US. Support the killing of innocent people in a war as a Christian, then tell the flock you are a good Christian. What was that thingey in the Bible about killing....?? Some commandment?

  Oh yes-thou shalt not kill. 4 words not open to interpretation.
