YMCA membership
by erandir inok, i know this has been talked about before, but now's a good time to bring this up again.
my wife (active witness) and i (inactive, haven't attended in over a year) just got memberships to the ymca today.
it's the only fitness place in town with a swimming pool.

I know for her it is complicated
by oblivious in"my girlfriend was raised jw she was'nt allowed to use the phone, and was brought up very strict to say the least.
she has a 4 year old daughter, and recently moved back home with her family were she lives in their living room.
she can't call me and our only communication is through emails, when she can sneak to the computer.

no smile, nothing....
this is the woman whom i have taken to the hospital, whom i have stayed with time after time when she had surgery so i could help her, whom has known me since i was tiny..... can you imagine not even smiling or acknowledging someone you have known since infancy, who has shown so much love and loyalty for you over the years?

$1000.00 Birthday present for D/F'd son today...his first at 22
by oompa inyep that's right and it was cash....and i took him to dinner too....what a blast.
my son has been a real pain in the @ss for years, but i love him to death and know that tons of his problems were jw related.
i am a recent fade remember and was a little worried dubs would be at the place when the wait staff sang happy birthday and all.

Pumpkins in the Kingdom Hall yard....now Christmas lights...you can too
by oompa ini have been a pretty serious practical joker my whole life....some say i am stuck in adolescence (i hope she is 17).
but anyway, right before halloween i took a couple of pumpkins too close to the road at a farmers place and put them in the kingdom hall front yard....i know i should have paid for them but no one was there.
it was sunday night, and was hoping maybe no one would notice till thursday meeting, but they were gone on wednesday.

Didn't mean to hijack the thread. This is a really tough time for me. I hope my hubby one day sees past all the tingle and glowing orbs on the tree and sees the family gatherings, company parties that bring all the spouses and kids together. If for nothing else this makes this time special.
