I have a comb that I have been using since 1988. The ONLY comb. I won't use another one. I don't know why. This one just works too good. Call me weird if you want.

White rednecks are less intelligent.
by wanderlustguy in"inherently gloomy about the prospect of alabama" because "all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours -- whereas all the testing says not really.".
well would you look at that...one little change and all the sudden no one is offended.
isn't getting offended a choice?

There are lots of shows about less intelligent white folks. It's called "Anything on Prime Time Monday through Friday". I guess that's why I'm constantly turning on the History Channel or TLC or Discovery. Before I watch primetime television, I have to ask myself a very serious question: "Can my body withstand the amount of pot I would have to smoke to make this show interesting?" And usually the answer is "No".
It's amazing. The more intelligent you become, the less race matters to you. I'm not aware of too many white supremacists with PhDs or too many black supremacist bankers or lawyers.
And, by the way, rednecks are intelligent. They're masters of their surroundings. They wouldn't last a second in New York City, but a guy from New York City wouldn't last a second in the redneck's town, either. Sometimes it depends what part of the country you're standing in to determine just how dumb you are.

Speaking from experience, women can make you want to slap them sometimes. But, a man isn't a man unless he can control himself. Too many men think that beating up people is what makes them a man. That's not the truth. It is a sign of weakness. It takes more strength and self control not to be physically violent. I witnessed a neighbor hitting his wife one time. I saw red. I walked over there and grabbed him by his shirt and I scared the feces out of him. I told him that if he ever was mad enough to hit her, just come over to my house and see if he has the balls to go a round or two with me first. Then, if he kicks my ass, he can go home and finish the job. He didn't go home for two weeks.
I told my wife that if it ever came down to me hitting her or leaving her, I'd leave her because if she truly wanted to make me mad enough to hit her, there's no longer a need for us to be together. Just my two cents.
I think that a guy who beats up his wife should get his ass kicked by somebody twice his size and strength and then thrown in jail for a while just so he can see how it feels.

I've been out almost 10 years, but I just started posting this year. I guess it took me this long to seek out others who have the same experiences as myself. Neither my wife nor any of my friends have a clue what it was like to be raised as a JW. It helps to talk.

Quit your job and go sell ice cream
by Hiddenwindow indid anyone see the information on a recent watchtower study article (w-07 0/01, p. 30, 16) in which a witness who quitted his job and started selling ice cream on the streets in order to have more time to preach, is presented as a good example?
i found it extremely offensive and asked myself: are they really serious or is this joke?
but the worst part is that no one else in the hall seemed to find it offensive, with the exception of a ministerial servant who privately told me it was an act of disrespect on the part of the society.

And now, for my next trick, My 100th post! I think I'll quit my job and start selling rubber walrus protectors to Eskimos in Alaska! I can kill two birds with one stone! I can make money AND preach the good news in an area where the need is greater!
Ohh..... wait.... I forgot..... I'm NOT a JW and I'm NOT dilusional! I think I'll keep my day job after all. It gives me more time to post on Jehovahs-Witness.com!

by Pioneer Spit...oh, i mean Spirit inmy jw mother shuns me.
i just figured this out.
when my parents became hohos in 1974 in az, my mother preached the sh*t out of everyone, so that her catholic mother and sisters couldn't stand her.

Did You Willingly Get Baptized or Were You Pressured Into It?
by minimus init was expected of me to get baptized and at 9 i was.
what about you?
-

Of course there is pressure to get baptized. If you don't, they all look at you like you have horns or something. So, I did it, finally. Even though I still had doubts and wasn't sure that this is what I wanted. But, I had to make my dad happy. Stupidest thing I've ever done.
