This was a very retrograde step imo. I am very pro EU and the USA. A strong Europe is a good thing. Once again a good story is being masked by a lot poor and uninformed reprorting.

How many here have studied EU law? Well i have, and yes some of it is byzantine, but the point of the EU is to bind nations closer together so they are economically and poiltically stopped from having another world war. Guess what, it is working. I enjoy being a European, my kids have been all over Europe.

I do not want any another war like the last, my dad was there on DDay and it was awful. Ge saw a concentration camp - unspeakable.

So what if we have some beaurocracy, isn't it worth it for the ends here do justify the means

Car culture differences between Europe and America

europeans and americans seem to have very different culture when it comes to cars which automobiles being much more enshrined in american culture (i'll ignore the obvious oxymoron joke .

for instance, off the top of my head i can think of quite a few references to cars in songs or just driving but they are always american songs and cars.

no one sang much about moris minors or hilman imps i guess and getting kicks on route 66 sounds so much more impressive than the services on the m6.. likewise with films, cars feature in american films but hardly ever in british ones (ok, chitty chitty bang bang and the double-decker bus in summer holiday are the exceptions).. does this explain the different attitudes toward cars on each continent?.

It also quite amazing when visting France how little they worry about thier cars, most cars have dents. I have seen when someone has a small accident, they do not worry at all

We were at a market there and this poor women had stranded her car over a steep curb, my oldest son and me helped her out. she never looked for any possible damage to her car.Instead she went on a bought a big punnet of fresh strawberries for us. Concern for car, not much

Some single older women in bad circumstances

i am saddened and angry to observe the pitiful situation some of my jw single female friends are in.

they are over 40 and have little work record, hardly any money and in some instances compromised health issues.

i am angry because these women were waiting for armageddon to come and save them.

True for women many women sadly and JW women in particular. Men do have to recognise the roles that women play and encourage them to aquire skills.

Contrast those places in the west like Scandanavia, with repressive regimes in the middle east. I know that a society that values and encourages all to be educated is a far better place to reside

the eyes really are a window to the soul, according to scientists.. patterns in the iris can give an indication of whether we are warm and trusting or neurotic and impulsive, research has found.. everyone has a different structure of lines, dots and colours in their iris.. so scientists at orebro university in sweden compared the eyes of 428 subjects with their personality traits to see if these structures in the iris reflected their characters.. they focused on patterns in crypts - threads which radiate from the pupil - and contraction furrows - lines curving around the outer edge - which are formed when the pupils dilate.. their findings showed those with denselypacked crypts are more warmhearted, tender, trusting, and likely to sympathise with others.

Babies nearly always look at faces because it is well understood in behavioural pschology that the face is very diificult at concealing our feelings and babies know this innately

The definitions you cited are very useful as a barometer of where we are in a relationship with anyone but particularly in marriage. We should be able expess ourseleves without fear of the other person shutting down.Healthy relationships thrive on trying to understand and be understood
