You can't reason with a person who is mentally ill. It just doesn't work.

I realized that I was listening to talk radio too much and didn't know new songs anymore. It's hard to get back on that boat.

No JW-info booth at the airport?
by Jim_TX inyesterday, i had the opportunity to go to the airport and take my wifes' son - who had to fly back home - to the airport.. usually, i have a mixture of dread, and anticipation as i walk through the airport, as the jws have an airport-provided kiosk where only the elite jws are allowed to man (or woman), and hand out literature (you have to be on a list to do this - and usually only long-time pioneers get the opportunity).
the previous trip - when we picked him up, i seem to remember it was there, and i gave a big smile - and 'hello' to the individuals posted there with their litter-ature scattered about on the kiosk tabletop.. well... yesterday... i looked for the kiosk - thinking that i would like to say 'hello' again as we passed by.
no one is there, but the kiosk is sitting off to the side.

There used to be one in the Oakland CA airport. It was a bag fold up table usually with two sisters and a lot of literature laid out. Haven't seen it for a long time.

Witness fear of demons why?
by donny induring my ten year sojourn through the watchtower, i was always amazed at the witnesses fear and fascination with demons.
occasionally at gatherings, they would exchange "demon" stories, which were just a jw way of telling ghost stories, and you would usually hear a few "uhhs" and "oh my's" as the story was told.
although i had heard folks of other denominations mention demons, it was never with the "shock and awe" the witnesses put into it.

I'm sorry. I know just how you feel and the emptiness in your heart and home. When you go to get another animal person in your life she will help you pick the one who needs you and you need the most.
You did the right thing.

Welcome. Therapy is a great thing. Take your time. Don't do anything big for at least one year. Get a really good lawyer. It sounds like he's been thinking about this for a while and you might want to look at your financial assets for the last few years. I don't know what his problem is but it is his not yours. Walk, eat healthy, do things you've always wanted to...even if you do it along (I got certified in diving and joined a local children's community theatre, took voice lessons, got a wonderful dog). There is a million great adventures waiting for you.

I requal every year on CPR and it has really changed in the past few years. Performed it on a big older man a couple of years ago. Continued for 45 minutes until we landed at an alternate airport. We attached the AED (automatic external defibrillator) but since his heart wasn't in defib it didn't shock him. It did show that our compressions were showing as heart beats. We were lucky to have a cardiologist and an EMT to assist us. Color did return to his face as we worked on him. He was declaired dead on the way to the hosp. I think he was dead b4 we started but we have to continue until a Dr. on the ac radio tells us to stop.
