it never ceases to amze me on the stand the wts will take on the latest fads or styles.

Oh yeah, a blast down memory lane. Do you remember Albertson's was owned by the Mormon's and Safeway the Catholics? I had a worldly neigbor friend and she had a record player and so I learned all the latest. How bout "the pony' and "the mashed potato...the jerk' etc THE BEATLES!!!!!!! Couldn't play the game called "Twister" bodily contact. Two piece bathing suits!!!! No way. No dances at school, games, clubs, take part in anything. Folk songs. How about the John Denver phase until he asked JWs to leave his concert. I was really busy being horse crazy for a long time. Saved my babysitting money and bought a guitar and spent hours in my brothers old room learning to play, listening to Peter Paul and Mary. We had a guy in our cong who would be pretty wild and instigate people getting in trouble and then running to the elders to confess and everybody but him would get in trouble. He's still in but has been married 3 times.

If I could live forever without aging or sickness NOW I would jump on that horse in a nano second. First of all, the end of debt could be in sight. Added to that, I have traveled to many places on this planet and have just scratched the surface. So much to see, so much to do, unlimited as to what you can learn about anything. Just sign me up now.

Some interesting news....
by Faithful-n-Discreet Wife ini read in an old 1963 wt article that if one is living imorally....when they dedicated themselves to jehovah (privately/publicly)...that they will need to be "rebaptized" since jehovah may not have accepted the dedication...any chance i can ride this one?.....maybe get them to strip me of my title of a baptized jw allowing them to think i fully intend to be "rebaptized"...what do you guys think of this alternative to da/df?
i was baptized in march2007.
i heard that this article is not outdated and can still be valid.

I just lost my favorite Aunt. She was born in a LOG CABIN in Indianna. I've always liked and respected her. She not a Catholic...she was a ROMAN catholic! When I left the borg I reached out to the many relatives on both my mom and dad's sides to try to reestablish "family" but she was the only one to reach back and I loved her. Thank you for this song. It is truth.

i'm separated from my wife, an almost certain divorce is on the horizon, and because of now being "inactive", with the exception of my family, i have seemingly lost what friends i had.. i can't bring myself to fully embrace "worldly" thinking about many things, yet, as long as i am not an "active" member of the collective, i have no chance of making friends.

I know how you feel. Please, just take your time. If you get a divorce you will need some time after to sort out those feelings. Don't remarry on the rebound. I dated after my divorce (don't like dating) and the best one was someone who was a former jw--not raised in it. Unfortunately he became very ill with MS. We are still close. More important than his "understanding" was that we continually made each other laugh. We would get cut off in a bar b4 ordering because we would be laughing so hard.
Take your time. There is no hurry. maybe some counseling would help and give you a safe place to vent (which is dangerous to do with the brothers). You're always welcome here. There are so many great, smart, and relatable people who have genuinely your best interests at heart. You will learn to follow your intellect/instinct instead of guilt and fear. Hugs.

I have a serious and I need your help.....
by Faithful-n-Discreet Wife inthis time last year i met the man of my dreams...he was incredibly smart and charming...he was in tune with me...he made me feel like i was the best thing that ever happened to him.
at first he was a little shy...he didn't think anyone of my caliber would even give him a chance...conveniantly though i had my run of bad guys...and wanted someone different.
he was a devout christian...and i had been yearning for years for some direction.

His approach to you seems like pure manipulation....or is it he just "sins", confesses b4 he's found out, then forgivin but WHAT ABOUT YOU? Just the whole thing of keeping you a SECRET while he played rightous repentant brother says he loves HIMSELF more than he loves Jehovah and more than you. He didn't want "friendship" he wanted sex from day one and manipulated you and the elders to get what he wanted...in the way he wanted it. Now he's verbally abusive. He has Proven that he doesn't value you more than sex. Get out of there and get some self esteem. Go back to your family. Treat yourself the way you would like to be treated.
