I used to think that but really each one of them is a separate creation. According to scrip God made Jesus and thru Jesus all other things were "created". From our human standpoint it would be more lie Jah is Grandpa, JC the son, then JC's first son was Satan. On the other hand it doesn't matter.

Anyone still have trouble expressing anger?

having been doubly mind-f*&ked by an organization that preaches peace and poor boundaries and a perfectionistic mother who hates conflict, i find myself still having great difficulty expressing my anger in a healthy way.

my past response when angry was to cry or turn the anger on myself and become self-destructive, ultimately leading to suicidal thoughts.

i find lately my subconscious percolating anger almost constantly.

I think this is so common to all of us. You WILL be angry about things but never learn how to process it. Stuff it down and Voila....depression. Just look at the history of women in the world and see how wretched their existance has been. Then add the JW thing to that. Baaaad recipe. Not being in touch with your feelings also makes it hard to set boundries. I am working on that. I am soooooooo nice it makes me sick. I have become a freak magnet. I let the wrong people in. Things are changing though. I am weeding people out of my life and it's better. In part I credit you folks here for opening my brain instead of just judging myself.

Then there's the "you are simmering and it keeps building and then you blow way out of proportion to the situation". Then you feel really stupid.

As a witness you are always "reflecting on Jehovah". You know what? Jehovah can take care of him/her/it self. What a mind f..k that kind of load is.

I seriously doubt the people you dealt with are thinking about you right now. See how immobile we can become with that kind of thinking? You life becomes complete inertia.

i always thought it was ironic how often they preached against this sort of thing from the platform, then were out in the parking lot trying to sell it to you.

Oh boy I remember all the little business, Tupperware, Candle Parties etc. I see it more that these people are so deprived on so many levels that this is the only way they can make some cash.

or participate in numerous other "worldly" things but they do seem to be ok with committing adultery... .

maybe for the sole purpose of getting out of a marraige, who knows... i didn't think i was ever that bad, my kids say while there were moments that i was bad - he always "one upped me" - made my behavior justified.. in any case i am sure everyone here knows that jw's are a religious group of people that knock on your doors many days.

mostly on the weekends when your trying to sleep in or participate in some "indoor sports", lol... .

Beating Fear

pat robertsons doom and gloom forecast for 08 (his 07 forecast that the us would be hit by a major terrorist attack was incorrect).

reminded me so much of the watchtower's constant doom messages: definitely rule by fear.

if you do this you will be destroyed, so will your kids.. if you do this you will be disfellowshipped and lose all your friends and family.. if you don't go out in service you will be marked as bad association.. and of course every natural or man made disaster meant the end was coming soon soon soon.. it takes a lot of effort to overcome the fear paralysis instilled in us by the watchtower.. and it doesn't just go away and stay away, conquering fear is not a one time event, it is instead.

Upcoming Elders Schooling

it's no secret that the "organization" has increased it's cia, national security clerance only super-secret attitude in regards to the elder school that is going to be conducted soon.

a few days ago, i had a conversation with an elder who has been in the fold all of his life practically.

in keeping with the conversation style of jws, the gentleman told me that nobody knows what exactly will be taught at the meetings, but in his backdoor conversations with some brothers who seem to be tuned into the bethel's officially, unofficial, communications network, the elders are going to be taught "post-armageddon" teachings.

"Post Armegeddon training"?????????? Where would they get THAT info!!!!! Doesn't the Bible say there will be "New Scrolls"???? Oh yeah, maybe they secretly received the holy goggles of muck and egg and already have the new scrolls givin by the angel Maccaroni.

i think this is the perfect time and chance to see how much of the bible jw's really get through over the year.

i'd like for whoever can post the verses that were covered each time.

and if possible the length of time spent on that verse.

I agree with R.F. They study to enforce the WT doctrines and yet they are duped into thinking they are really reading the entire 66 books.
