  i had some sad eyed "professional" telling me
  one of my middle son's "issues" was that he
  had "low self-esteem" and i looked at this guy
  and said: that is because he has done nothing
  that can be respected and without self-respect
  there is no reason for "self-esteem" ... and it
  was not MY job to acquire it for him.... my job
  was to point out the opportunities to earn respect
  and the rest was his job.....

  i have just gotten out and am free at last!

  my brother did so a few years ago and has been such an amazing help to me these last few weeks.

  i was raised a jw, disfellowshipped when i was 17, married a non believer and then dragged back in by my family.

  Discovery Channel program reveals King Tut's family to be European!

  they did dna testing of mummies from king tut's family and a screen shot during the program reveals the dna marker numbers.

  many viewers have video recorders and were able to write down those numbers.

  the haplogroup seems to be of r1b lineage, which is very european and even very common in the uk and usa.

  @beks.... the program showed the results of a scan indicating tut had an osteonecrosis
  on his left foot, Kohler's disease, plus it was discovered he had a chronic malarial infection,
  PLUS two fetal mummies were associated with tut and DNA revealed tut had fathered
  a daughter with his sister/wife..... oh yeah, that dude was totally eff'ed up

  Ridiculous Talk Given By CO

  my mother told me of the co giving a talk and telling everyone to get their hankies out because they would be sure to cry, which evidently some did.. a 5 year old boy was dying in the hospital and his parents were by his bedside.

  he was drifting in and out of consciousness and then he opened up his eyes and asked his mother if he was a catholic.

  the mom told her son he was not.

  The attitude of the disfellowshipped relative should also be considered. Has he ‘come to his senses’? (Luke
  15:17-19) Has he abandoned his sinful course? Or is he still engaged in serious wrongdoing?

  some of us came to our senses, and left!!

  the only "sin" i practice is the fabricated one of apostacy!

  they met me as i was getting out of my car at my apts.. after stating a few of my newfound beliefs in possibilities, the one lady kept quoting the bible to me after i said that i had no respect for it and didn't believe in it.. i told them both that i thought it was simply a book with interesting stories rewritten over and over again from mythology.. i mentioned epona taking elish(j)a to heaven in a flaming chariot.. i told them that the jesus story has been rewritten many times before the supposed event even happened (egyptian god horus).. every time she brought up something new, i countered it with why i thought it was not believable.. the best one was when i got to tell them of my relatives who passed away at an old age and did die.

  i told them that truth doesn't change.. that truth should never have been taught as a fact to be counted on.

  when it did change, i said that you have to take a step back and say come on!

  i thought i'd heard it all after spending a life time in this organization.

  but for me the following statement uttered at the weekend circuit assembly takes the prize.. during the "pioneer talk"......the speaker said that pioneering enhanced jesus's spirituality.. to imagine that a made up thing like pioneering would enhance the spirituality of the christ.

  to those who still believe in christ ....this is so presumptious and proposterous........i just fell off my seat.. it tells me how this organization and its governing body have set themselves up so high .....that they could tell the christ how to live..
