i have done it on several occasions.

it helps to be selective in the first place...
if i just "know" someone, likely as not
i simply ignore requests to "friend" them...
basically i dont give a crap about excessive
unfiltered, perpetual "status updates" that
breed prodigiously on FB...
learn to love your ignore options!
i must admit have done the whole nodding thing and even once at an assembly fell asleep on a brothers shoulder... shame he wasn't cute!.
my husband would start with a series of head-bobs
we called "head gymnastics" before he finally just
fell asleep, at most CA/DCs
me? i had 4 kids to keep track of!

i know it sounds strange but all the jw's i have contact with are no longer "encouraging" me to attend meetings.
in fact not one of them invited me to the memorial even though we had dinner together at my house three nights before.
i think i have them totally bamboozled with my reasoning why i don't attend.
that is precisely my circumstance
totally faded, missed 3 memorials, can hardly recall names
and yet i have been greeted and hugged in public venues
without a single "we miss you" blah blah...
granted i have not been invited to dinner, but in spite
of a very public profile as an advocate for LGBTQ, there
are some who go out of their way to be decent sorts,
along with the righteous over-much shunning by the
very ones whose company would drive me to suicide
in paradise
and they are now in 1st place in the n.l.
west with a 6-1 record !
and the hated l.a. dodgers are in last place !

t'was my catholic upbringing that brought
me terrors of hell and his little brother
purgatory... so the JW blah blah about
eternal separation was a real "whew"....
i entertain fewer and fewer delusions these days...

to have them in our house .my husband was not happy to hear it will be two brothers coming over, because he really does not want to feel we are being counseled .

it wasnt actually a shepherding call TM , just a car group TM
stopping over a few years back to give me an invitation
to memorial TM , and my response to "we miss you" TM was:
my family and i are so much happier now that we no
longer marinate in a doomsday atmosphere... i just
can't go back to that
(no one calls any more, and yet it seems i am yet
to be announced from the platform TM since there
are those who still offer public greetings.... )
my favorite is strawberry fields (kashi brand)..

many catholics are nominal catholics and they are not shunned or avoided because of their not going to church or confession.. would you remain a jw if the organization didn't punish you for your inactivity?.

as far as i can tell, in spite of my public
advocacy/activism for LGBTQ issues,
i am still being greeted and sometimes
hugged by hard-core, multi-generational
dr0nes.... so i guess that must mean i am
still considered ____________ (what? i
seriously dont get it, nor am i interested in
pursuing the matter)
would *I* technically remain/consider myself a JW?

also, do you think gas prices affects the jw field service any?.
here it is approximately $2.69 per gallon.
i heard in michigan it is $2.99 right now.. outaservice.
