My very First Ex-JW Meet-UP.............

i get this news letter daily from a biker friend who used to sing with my band.

he is a born again type and has a ministry to outlaw bikers called the prodigal sons.the wactower is not the only group that preaches the end is near.

i think its a biblical message that people that read the bible tune in too.i think the problem with the wactower and the end of the world is they or i took it seriously, and they tell you not to get an education and make provisions for living in this system, which is also somewhat biblical.

I agree-focus on life, not death!

That said I used to worry about the state of the world and what happens after we die, so I do understand if people are concerned or interested.

1 has god given angels the power and capability to reproduce?.

2 how did the sons of god come to the earth and take women for themselves and there women produce children if they could not reproduce?.

Nephilim (giants) are only mentioned twice in the Bible so there are varied theories regarding them.

Genesis 6:4
The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

Numbers 13:33
We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.

Angles and demons have the same origins, demons were angels but thrown out of Heaven after a rebellion. Satan was an angel in heaven but was kicked out because of pride (he decided he would be like Almighty God) and his dishonest trade.

So have you got the important issues worked out? What is the new covenant? What is being born again? Why did Jesus die?

Get those sorted and everything else will fall into place.

That gift starts straight away. Why do you think Jesus said partake in His new covenant and be born again?

Contrary to what the WTO teaches concerning the dead, those who believe will NOT lie unconscious in the ground till Kingdom come but in Heaven.

Paul new it because he had already been up in third heaven!

There are many verses to this effect and the WTO pin all their beliefs on a single verse Ecc 9:5

If you want to understand what that verse means then start by reading Job 14 and pay close attention to the verses at the end.

Make sure you don't use the NWT for anything else but uncovering its deceptions!

PROJECT JERICHO--What are the advantages of a mass exodus?

i have seen lots of encouragement for us to 'unite' and accomplish something that would set back the wt society, but in such a diverse group as we are, it seems that even though we are together, we are alone.. has anyone thought of the possibility of 'semi' organizing a date certain for a bunch to abandon the organization?

kind of like the exodus, or someting along those line.

maybe a loosely organized letter writing campaign.

the us government says all cattle etc have to have a id.. the amish say mark of the beast..

Hi,
I have no problems with it being a bar code. Have a look at what it at the start, middle and end of a bar code...

That said it could easily be a chip or something else. The important thing is not exactly what the mark will be but that we now have the technological power to track everyone's buying and selling, banking etc. worldwide.

That technology wasn't a reality 30 years ago but they were looking at where we were going and we are there now. With the global networks, mind boggling computing power and more and more monitoring and tracking of our electronic and non-electronic lives, it is clear that 'the mark of the beast' doesn't look so far fetched now. Neither does the possibility of one worldwide government, one leader, one monetary unit as Revelation states too. I wonder if George Orwell was inspired by it?

In no way does that tie up with the New Testament. See here for example and read verse 17 carefully.

Seeing as they don't have the Spirit it is no surprise that they prophecy always fails, they don't speak in tongues or exercise any of the other gifts of the Spirit.

I assume you are an ex JW? They preach a form of 'replacement theology'. This thinking is that the church (or for JWs the congregation) has replaced the Jews as God's chosen people.

Here is a good place to start to blow that whole erroneous thinking apart.

If God went back on His promises to Israel the He would be a liar, which He isn't!

The whole chapter should help but come back to it, there is more important stuff as we are Gentiles, not Jews!

(However, If you want to understand more about Israel and salvation then go back to Romans 9 and continue).

In a nutshell, God made promises to Abraham to bless all his descendants, including Jacob, the father of Israel.

Sons of God

So make sure your faith is in Jesus Christ and not the WTO or anyone else!
