  Would it be different if the man had a weapon and threatened to kill you if you did not submit? No, the Scriptures plainly state that Christians are under obligation to "flee from fornication." (1 Cor. 6:18) It is true that you face the possibility of death in this case. But you have no guarantee that if you meekly submit, your assailant will not kill you anyhow to avoid identification.

  Isaiah 59 & Waiting on Jehovah.

  every time i hear the kingdumb cliche "wait on jehovah", i think of isaiah chapter 59. especially in light of the events of the past week, that is, the jc meetings for those simply wanting justice to come down on the most horrendous of wrongdoers in the organizaion, and the gross unwillingness of the society to provide such.. keep in mind that the key at the top of the nwt says, "confesses isreal's errors, sins, works".

  here are some verses to think about.. vs. 3:for your own palms have become polluted with blood, and your fingers with error.

  your own lips have spoken falsehood.

  Perhaps you need to explain it better, but I do not see where Uriah is relevant here. What David did was itself in violation of God's law.

  What I require are instances in the bible where people stood up for what they believed was right, regardless of what constituted authority felt, and I refer to cases where the 'deviant' behaviour is one in support of something good. Uriah is an oblique example, used to illustrate what I have in mind. Perhaps an example too pedestrian. Uriah did not listen to the king's instruction to go to his house and his wife, and his reason was that he couldn't since others were at the warfront. He was unaware of what the king had done.

  And has anyone in the pedophile cases actually been disfellowshiped for causing "disunity"? In other words, are the issues before the judicial committes based solely or at all on their speaking out against pedophilia?

  Perhaps my information is wrong. But the strongest argument, and allegation against the champions of the molestation cause would be that they are sowing discord, formentiung disunity by their very act of bringing the matter to the public. It will be taken that they have sidestepped the Society's guidelines/instructions on the matter; that has been the argument of the JW friends I have spoken with. I believe the 'block' in their thinking could be pulled down, helped, if they saw examples from the scriptures.

  Frequently, JWs will argue that the unity of the congregation is inviolable. That has been the case in the ongoing child molestation cases, where a number of those involved have been expelled based ont he allegation of "sowing discord". My correspondences with JWs on several levels have shown that this is the current, and most attractive explanation to justify the expulsion/disfellowshipping of those championing the child molestation cases. I have had to engage in discussions with several of the friends on this matter. The argument that the conscience of the individual should take precedence over organizational laws aimed at enforcing unity does not seem to impress them. But a line of reasoning anchored on pointing to biblical examples might be helpful:

  (1) instances in which biblical figures clearly went against constituted authority in pursuance of what they believed to be right
  (2) instances in which such behaviour led to some form of disunity.
  (3) instances in which such behaviour led to punishment (or not) by God.

  The motive here is to employ some form of reasoning that will appeal to the regular JW, with regard to their peculiar concept of unity. I will appreciate quotes from Watchtower sources that are related to the matter. Other related comments will also be appreciated.

  As an example, Uriah, Bathsheba's husband, upon being summoned from the warfront by David, refused to sleep in his own house, despite being asked to do so by David. One could also mention the bible character (I don't remember the name) who delivered the letter ordering the placement of Uriah in the thick of the battle to facilitate his death; would he have been right to deliver if he was aware of the instruction?

  When Jesus talked about wolves in the clothing of sheep, he meant the likes of the Watchtower policy makers, and Psychdigg. What isn't the Watchtower drinking? The waters of purity, and truth. Watchtower feeds itself full of the abuse of children, its hands covered with the blood of innocent ones who've lost their lives on blood, and countless whose lives have been ruined by following blind guides. From a post to observe the hypocrisy of Watchtower on their webpage, Watchtower spindoctor Psychdigg sees only hypocrisy in the posts here. You're as guilty as the masters you serve. The voice of the silentlambs violated by Watchtower agents, and peotected by Watchtower policy continues to cry; like Abel's voice.

  i sent it to kent.

  the only thing that kept me going was the thought of what my suicide would do to my children for the rest of their lives.

  i finally got the courage to seek help for that depression, and im fine now.. alanf and gedanken (two of my good friends) helped me out, and i am most grateful for that.

  psychdigg: i just got on the board again and saw your post about bill bowen.. in typical jw-style you attack the person rather than the issue of child molestation.

  *Bowen has never established that JW's have more cases of Child Abuse than the general population.
  *Yet Bowen continues to sensationalize the JW situation with speculation about JW's being a hot bed of molestation.
  *JW's promote strong family values.
  *They openly discuss sexual matters as congregations.
  *They don't allow those in leadership positions to watch even R rated movies.
  *They frown on obscene jesting.
  *They require chaperones on dates.
  *They condemn songs with suggestive lyrics.
  *They encourage moderate "non-sexy" dress.
  *There is a whole lot of penis management going on.
  *And they even throw out members who practice wrong-doing.
  *The general wholesome mileu does more to prevent molestation than any amount of catching molesters in the act.
  *If individual elders screw up they deserve to be sued.
  *If the GB screw up they deserve to be sued also.

  You have a personal thing againt Bill Bowen? You're an authority on JW. So with all the phallic management what do you think is happening? And why are JW policy makers suddenly waking up? Have you read the letters to the Bodies of Elders about handling child molestation cases? Are you aware of the policies? You say Bill Bowen is speculating; you are insulting the sensibilities of men, women, and children who have suffered due to Watchtower policy.

  There are other questions you are yet to answer:

  What about the many thousands of JW children harmed by the cover-up of pedophiles in the organization? Do you care about them or their parents?

  What should be done with the JW leaders who have directed JW Elders to not report pedophiles to authorities?

  Since you could have written your encouragement to Bill as an E-Mail I can only assume you were trying to counter the negative statements about Bill.
  As you can see by the tally of people that click onto this subject - Not too many people are interested in your idolatrous slurpings.

  Critically thinking Psycho digger, so where's it? "I can only assume..." No other possibilities, eh? You're the idolater, you idolize Watchtower. The more I read you, the more I see the fear of Bill Bowen. Is he what you can't be? You want some publicity? Or are youa child molester in fear of something?

  j.r. brown, a national spokesman for the jehovah's witnesses, confirmed that the four had been called to the hearings, but he said the proceedings may focus on "sins" unrelated to public comments on sexual abuse.

  he provide no specifics.. now isn't that a pr move!.
