They all wear horse-blinders. You can try to show them factual evidence of the WTBTS not being "God's Organization" and they will refuse to acknowledge it. It is not unlike a child who sticks their fingers in their ears and says, "la la la la not listening not listening la la la la" ... so, it really makes you wonder if Jehovah's Witnesses are really interested in the TRUTH at all. I don't think it has anything to do with "truth" and everything to do with wanting to belong to something and to have an identity. How can they expect to know the truth about anything when they will never research outside the organization? Most have no motivation to investigate. Call it lazy. Most will only listen to what the Governing Body tell them. Call it brain-washed ... but they aren't interested in knowing the truth.

Remember the story how Jehovah made the heart of the Pharoah unchangeable, so that he can be made an example of? Well, it is no different with most Jehovah's Witnesses ... God has made them blind to the truth.

Mormons, the origin of man. (video)

when i was searching for religion, post witness life, i spent a few months studying mormon faith.

while i found it interesting, i also found it comical in their believes.

yet until i found this cartoon on youtube, it was hard to explain how mormons see the origin of man without cracking up.

i've always wanted to ask this question to those that have decided to leave the organization.. what will you do when the great tribulation begins?.

right now folks, a lot is happening in the political world.. gordon brown (prime miniter of england) last week gave a speech to the un stating that it is time for the un to step in and solve the world's problems, (specifically mentioning the economy and hunger crisis worldwide.).

barrack obama is shaping up to be the next president, a fellow who sure knows how to persuade and lead great crowds.

My PO says he had no knowledge of it. I showed him the letter and he doubted it was authentic.

Do good works by JWs count for anything?

we all know that the wts like so many other cults is an exploitative organisation that works with a great depth of deception that's not easy for many to grasp.

but will the works done by jws for this religion count in their favour if they were done in good faith?

at least the ones that didn't directly harm anyone?

Spreading a false gospel is NEVER a good thing.

Now, if they helped feed and clothe the homeless, donate to charities to help the needy, demonstrate love for their neighbors by helping out in community services, etc ... yeah, those are works that show you are a imitating Christ-like behavior.

Going door-to-door to hand out WATCHTOWER and AWAKE magazines to glorify a publishing company with false teachings? No.

Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'

Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

The WTBTS has ALWAYS made prophecies in Jehovah's name - they claim to be prophets and they claim to be the mouthpiece of Jehovah God, and still they hold on to the 1914 prophecy ...

Malkiel, what do you suppose Satan's agenda would be?

Something like ... oh, to mislead people from the true worship of God? To prevent as many people from gaining Salvation?

Something like that? He's a tricky one, that Satan.

Let me ask you this simple question: Do you KNOW you have Salvation? If so, how?

If you left the WTBTS ... would you still have your Salvation?

I was a JW for nine years (never disfellowshipped), but I disassociated after researching these and other questions.

I admire your courage to stay and chat with us. The organization labels us apostates, but that's only because we don't agree on certain doctrines - at least for many of us, it's not because we don't believe in God. Just that the WTBTS is not God's Organization on Earth.

Forgive me - one more thing ... what is your feelings about the WTBTS being associated with the UN for ten years?
