  i was in walmart shopping when i felt like eyes were staring at me.

  Tell Us Dumb Things You've Heard Elders & Bethelites Say

  there are a lot of dumb organization men.

  gb losch seems to be the top dog for dumbness.. in the local halls i've seen and heard many dumb elders open their mouths.. one elder had a fondness for bible prophecy and watchtower chronology.

  he always speculated on what the "watchtower really means" about a statement in print.

  I can remember the hounder-hounder talking about how a missionary was not feeling well (perhaps from not getting enough sleep the night before?). He was out in field circus, without enough food (likely because of being out in field circus all the time instead of earning money), and the last call threw a cabbage at him. That was supposed to be Jehovah's way of feeding him.
  
  Holy crap, I am at work and I started laughing way more loudly than would be appropriate here. Good thing my boss is in a meeting. :D

  A privilege to know Jehovah

  so last night, a sister gies the following comment:.

  " we should help our bible studies appreciate the privilege that they have to know jehovah".

  all of the dubs were nodding their heads and saying ooohhh and ahhhh under their breath.

  it seems i read 1/4 world population taken down by one of the "horsemen.

  then i remember a scripture that if time were not cut short none would be saved.. (1/4 world population does not sound like annhiliation of humankind.).

  are these people destroyed during the gt?

  i was bored at the bookstudy the other night, and the book being studied is of course "live with jehovah's day in mind".

  this book is (ostensibly) based entirely off ot writings, specifically the minor prophets.

  however, you'd expect to see the odd mention of jesus here and there, seeing as they do claim to be christians and all?.

  Thanks. Yes, a good example of a general failure by the JW's to honour Jesus, which Christians are meant to do. I bet the "Organisation" is mentioned dozens of times before page 180.

  Good thought, I will investigate it at the next bookstudy.

  this is what i've been told by my j.w.

  sister-in-law.. my question.....are there any verses that have been changed in their bible from one revision/edition to the next?

  if so, which verses?

  Leolaia: I was trying to post my own thoughts on the topic but JWD kept giving me an error, so I ended up just putting the link.

  What I was going to say was that the site had an ulterior religious motive, was not a valid scholarly source, but did provide a list of scriptures found in the KJV and not present in NWT.
