How Did Your JW Wife or Husband Leave You?

inspiried by other post and threads....and the love to type.. after going from being a self rightious pioneer and bethelite, to someone who had major doubts.my years drifted by me.

I found myself wishing to hear your wife version of the story, It feels like you've left a lot unsaid about the weekend but if you truly love your wife still, there can be hope for you both, you could try talking things through about your feelings for each (Not about JW's) focus on how much you have shared together the trails and tribulations of life having kids etc,

It saddens me on here to see how many relationships end when the faith in JW's does, people forget out of all the WTS and life you chose that person to love and raise a family with! Surely there must be more to our feelings for our partners than a religion? isn't that relationship worth fighting for even if the religion is gone? I say this to you because you sound like you genuinely love your wife and her you, ask her if Jehovah allows for her to leave you and you life together on reasons of your lacking faith alone?

hmmm you seem in danger of making this a JW's or me issue, is that really fair? A person should be able to choose something for themselves, we can influence and discuss but should we demand them to do what we want, right down to their personal beliefs and faiths instead of what they want?

I hate the Watchtower but I really still hate the Trinity Jesus is NOT God!

the greek term; proskeyneo, means to prostrate oneself, to bow down and show honour.

now, this was done for jehovah.....and his representatives....jesus israelite kings and priests....but for the honour of jehovah not as creature worship which even angels would refuse.. also i studied the non-biblical early church gospels which really does show a slow decline over 150 years, into the trinity as the watchtower claims...........although i still hate the watchtower society at least i learnt something that wasn't a lie..

as i told you before, they boe have been considering me for the eldership.

which i don't care for, but since my family is stuck in this cult, i guess i can use the new position to help them see that the holy spirit has nothing to do with me being an elder.

whats people's definition of doing Good?

Just getting people out of the JW's by any means available?

or him alienating his family/friends by a public action that we've incited him to do.

or getting in over his head counciling people and not knowing what to say especially if they have emotional/sexual issues.

Would he advise an 70 year old person to leave JW's knowing that maybe they'd have othing to replace it and could end up alone with no focus in their lives? the problem with destroying peoples faith in something is you are responsible if they find that too traumatic and have nothing but a massive empty gap in it's place, Do you realise Ootb their are many grey area's? because you will once you become an elder.

One good thing about this forum is those that join are already questioning so you are not jumping the gun so to speak. If i goto a church etc I treat it with respect because the people have a genuine faith however misguided, if I don't agree with it they'll find out if they ask me, i'll give them honest answers.

bit off-topic now we are discussing trinity not debunking the bible, which if you want to put on as a topic could be interesting terry :) how do you explain pontious pilate stone, the house of david stone etc

We can all invent a God according to our own desires and imagination but I think I personally want something less transcient than that and less self-serving. A God that says I do everything right would be as much fun as a boyfriend that followed me around as a sheep. Jehovah challenges me and my ideals and that is part of his charm and his son Jesus has words of wisdom whose simplicity is mind-blowing.

Sirona I believe jesus is God's son a separate being, I do not believe he is jehovah God,

I believe like any son he has his father's abilites and powers because the bible says so, the bible tells me jesus is God's son and I have example of father's and sons in every part of biology to see how that works.

Busted Dreams--11/1/1989 Style (Big puke alert)

so here is the dreaded 11/1/1989 puketower article.

this is the one that said "you are not going to do fornication, and you are not going to marry outside the cult".

effectively, this has killed many a dream marriage, and stopped people from having any fun.. oddly enough, the opening paragraph tells us that jehovah is not out to bust up our fun.

Keep us posted ootb but be careful...what worries me most is you see this as a way to free your family /shakes head, you are walking on hot coals, this could go so wrong! for your sake I honestly hope this is not about appointing you an elder :(

As a final note think of going back to your belief in jehovah in the bible, if you do take this on maybe there you can find a way to be less of a hypocrite in your job if at least you believe in God, even if not in the WTS.

thankyou fjtoth you say words of sense here a list of one God scriptures that trinitarians like to ignore from new testament....

"Seeing it is one God which shall justify" (Romans 3:30).

"There is none other God but one" (I Corinthians 8:4).

"But to us there is but one God, the Father" (I Corinthians 8:6).

"But God is one" (Galatians 3:20).

"One God and Father of all" (Ephesians 4:6).

"For there is one God" (I Timothy 2:5).

"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble" (James 2:19).

Again, the Bible calls God the Holy One (I John 2:20). There is one throne in heaven and One sits upon it (Revelation 4:2).

one is one and God who created the mathematical design of the universe never let 3 = 1.
