IMO- If people would just follow the two comandments that jesus gave this would be a much better world all together. To love your nieghbor as yourself alone is a profound statement that should evoke all people to love and fine works .Do unto others as you would have others do unto you could not hurt anyone. I may be a heathen but I'm kinda with you on the pointless bashing of a being nobody can prove exists anyway.I also see the benefits in what jesus and the aposles had to say .True though there are countless bad examples of christians in the world but I choose to look at the the example that the former had to set and realize that they too claimed to represent God and according to scripture did many nice things for alot of people.

by COMF ini told this story once before, a long time ago--i think, so long ago that it must have been on h2o instead of here--so here it is again, fwiw.. while i was still studying, at the age of 22, the guy who was studying with me told me something he had seen at a convention once.
he wanted me to realize how close to god the anointed were, what a love of the bible they had.
he told me about hearing one of the governing body members (i can't recall who) giving the keynote address on sunday afternoon of the convention, you know, the big one, that was advertised on the handouts all over the city.

I agree that the jewish nation today is nothing but a pack of satan worshippiers and it makes me wanna puke anytime one these christian whores around here insists that they are still a chosen nation and entitled to the ancient priveledge of residing in the holy land.They are a roque nation that would not exist if not for the united nations under US direction because of a lie that the US needs them as an ally in the middle east.They have done nothing but been a thorn in the side to the US.I have read some of the treachery of the dealings with the US and can not believe the nerve of these people expecting the US to continue to loan them money and military aid .To me it wouldn't matter if the whole place became a damn nuclear wasteland.

Gravedancer -that's is the first time I have heard anything like that and I have known plenty of jw in my life.This is completely moronic kind of logic ,I mean not that I haven't heard simular idiotic utterances from these people .I can agree that parents are responsible for raising their kids with spirituality if they so choose but to sit there and say you are blame if they die at armageddon is beyond my scope of reason.IMO the responibility of being a christian and being held accountable is an adult thing that children would be innocent due to the fact that the qulifications require adult converts.I did read the bible so I am using what I remember [of course it's been awhile] I sure can't remember anything about a baby massacre at the time of the end of the world.

Just curious here eh ,why are so many here convinced that God is going to kill children.The way I see it there are so people in the world killing their own young at the abortion clinic, when the us goes on bombing capaigns they are always killing women and children yet the majority of people are willing to accept this as normal behavior.There is no doubt though that in the old testament there was alot of baby killing as we look at the moses and pharoah incident however I can find no evidence in the apocolyptic writings of baby slaughter .Armageddon seemed to be against the kings and military commanders of the earth ,although the false prophet is destroyed as well. JUST LOOKING FOR SOME INPUT HERE [:?]

before i became a jw i experienced a tremendous amount of "love" from the congregation i associated with, but once baptized they leave and move on to the next potential convert.
as a single person, i was never invited out to gatherings very much and always felt a little left out in the very clique-ish congregation that i attended.
