Hospice Care...

well i called the insurance company today to see if we are covered for hospice on hubby.

they said no!..i almost fainted.

i talked with them a while and asked what would be covered.

Respite or (relief) care through our non-profit agency is funded through government grants and free to the client.

You may be receiving hospice care through a nursing agency etc. and they usually charge the client or insurance company.

Some people are eligible for both, depending on income etc. Most social workers at the hospital should know if you are eligible to receive free respite care, in addition to what you have now.

I hope you have everything you need to help you during this time.

dear everyone, my dad died suddenly and unexpectedly at the weekend.he did'nt turn up for a family dinner and my husband and i went to see if he was ok.he was dead.collapsed in his home.i can't stop shaking and i feel really sick.i've lost my mum and now my dad too.i wish i could sleep for months and wake when the pain has finished with me.

it hurts so much .sorry to bring everyone down-but i'm stressed at having to sort out his arrangements due to the autopsy and funeral etc and the house and my feelings.

; i just wanted to tell you all as my husband's gone for a walk and the children are asleep and i'm feeling scared about viewing his body, but i know i'll have to and i feel guilty for feeling like that.stupid thoughts racing through my mind at the moment-need to 'hear' a friendly voice .

hi guys!

i don't remember if any one here remembers me, but i used to come in here all the time back in the day (like 11/01-07/02) i remember lilacs, naeblis, reborn2002, oh shit, i would know them if i saw them but i can't really remember the screen names.... any ways, hi!!!!!!!!!

i moved up to portland, oregon for the last 3 and 1/2 months and now i am back in sacramento, ca.

I'm so very depressed...

lately, i've been really depressed at missing out on my life.

from being pulled out of school in the 3rd grade to keep me away from the "worldly" kids.

i was basically isolated.

OMG, You have your whole life in front of you!

Did I actually just say that? Oh Well,, corny, but its true!

I was miserable growing up a JW. I was very depressed and I thought that was all there was to life, ya know? I really wanted to end it, I never even thought about my future and the fact that I was in charge of it. I also went back to school when I was in my 20's, after I had my daughter. I dont believe its ever "too late" to further your education.

Try not to beat yourself up, so many here can relate to what you are going through.

Keep your chin up & sing your heart out!

Music I like,,,

Im pretty flexable and will listen to almost anything, except metal. Right now I'm partial to New Age and Classical. I also like anything with a good beat, R&B, Jazz, etc.

My son is starting karate!!!

i'm so excited about this and so is he.

he is a very hyperactive and impulsive child (takes after his mom.

he loved it!!!

My son has been bugging me to let him join Karate too.

He is VERY hyper and impulsive so I was scared to death to let him join. I found out recently that it is mostly about self control and self defense, so he will also be starting soon.

Im so glad you are finally going to recieve the help that you need.

Dont forget to check into respite care. This could allow you, as the primary caregiver, to have some free time to rest, shop, visit friends, etc.

my sister just moved into my home with her four children.

sadly her marriage has not worked out, and i felt it was the very least i could do to help her.. she is waiting for public housing, and i remembered an old witness freind who worked for the government department who did that.

so like a fool i decided to see him.

God, Im sorry that happend to you Joe.

Who knows what goes through some peoples heads, maybe he misunderstood your visit, or was upset about something and took it out on you. Either way, you didnt deserve that.

I believe people will always hurt eachother, even if they dont intend to. We cant control what others do to us, we can only control our reaction to it. I know its easier said than done, but in a way, you are right. We dont have to let anyone bring us down.
