dung,
I heard this too.
Someone told me to have the first address in the address book start with an "A" example AAAAA@****Com
The virus will start with this and when it cant send this first one out, it cant continue.
Im not 100% sure if it works, I never tried it.Gumby,
I felt so bad. My brother in law told me "yea, your computer sent me a virus last week". Hes an engineer so he knows all about viruses etc. Luckilly he caught it and got rid of it. I was like, "why didnt you call me, I had no idea".
What was really strange was the virus had different subjects. The one to him said, To: "his name", Honey, From me. I almost got into some big time trouble there. Good thing him and his wife are up on this virus stuff or there would have been a family feud. -

Maybe It's A Girl Thing...?
by Englishman ini have read lots of accounts here about married couples who have left the jws over the last few years.. theres also quite a number of men who are leaving who are concerned that their wives may want to remain as active jws.. why is that, i wonder?
why do the males always seem to make the move to escape the clutches of the wtbts, whilst the wife is usually desperate to maintain the status quo?
we dont seem to hear about women who want to leave whilst their husbands want to stay, it always seems to be the other way around.. most peculiar.

Katie,
"my thought: the females are too afraid of what their social group will think".
I suppose that could be true. I dont think its the case with most though. Many stay out of fear or family obligations etc. You mentioned your mother stays because of her worry of others opinion of her. People do always seem to worry about "what would so and so think"? It seems so shallow doesnt it? -

I have gotten a virus from someone on this board accidently. It used his address book and sent itself to everyone in it without his knowledge. It then went into my address book and began sending itself to everyone in my address book. It was using not only my e-mail address as a return address but it was also grabbing others in my book and using them as a response address. I even got one from myself to myself. I felt so bad, I had unknowingly sent friends and family a virus simply by having them in my address book. I cleared my address book and now have a virus scan that lets me know when one is sent to me so it doesnt happen again.
The e-mail "lipstik01" may not only be someone on the board but could also be someone in their address book.
Crazy.....

Glad you are here too!
Everyone makes a difference.
Even the people here supporting the W.T.S. gives others a chance to refute and prove valid points. Its all good.
I feel the same way, I continue to learn so much being here.
Congrats,
You the Master!! -

to cut a long story short - i'm starving to death and the end may be only minutes away .... there is a large white box in a place called "kitchen" (hey, it lights up when you open the door!

Englishman,
I wonder if it isnt more of a "maternal thing" than a "girl thing".
One of the main reasons I started seriously studying after my daughter was born was because of the old, "You are responsible for your families lives" thing. I was told constantly that even if I didnt care about my survival through armageddon, I was still responsible for my childrens" and "did I want their blood on my hands etc". I was also told that even though my husband was Catholic, I was still responsible for setting a good example and letting him know about the "truth" so he could be saved too.
Its like, a parents devotion their family is used and manipulated in order to gain and keep members in the organization.
"Was I willing to take a chance with my families lives because of personal doubts that I was having about the religion?
Very heavy stuff. I must say, I struggled quite a bit as Im sure many others do.
