  When you see yourself in the mirror.....................

  the reason i ask is because some days, i really like the way i look or what i see.

  then other days, i am fat, my nose is just huge, and my skin looks like crap!!

  i am just wondering if .....................

  do you see what others see? Does the image of yourself change depending on what mood you may be in??

  The reason I ask is because some days, I really like the way I look or what I see. Then other days, I am fat, my nose is just HUGE, and my skin looks like crap!!!

  I am just wondering if .....................

  1--you see what others see or you don't see the same?

  2--if you see yourself different sometimes and don't know why ?

  3--do you think your mood makes any difference to the way you see yourself?

  4--if you could change something about you what would it be?

  In answer to # 4 I would change my physical fitness. I want to be more in shape and loose the xtra 10lbs I gained since I quit stripping. I want to be more tone, not pencil skinny.

  Anyone?????????

  I loved your story hon, and I hope we can see more of your thoughts. It is very refreshing for us as adults to see things through a child's eyes. It makes it so much easier for us to see things in a way we sometimes miss.

  should shunning be reversed?

  it is so sad when i read threads of persons finding their in a cult, and want out .problem ,their family will shun them and ignore there own children and close family members.what if things were reversed?

  what if the person leaving this cult shunned their loved ones, letting them know they are being brainwashed and you don't want their sick beliefs being pushed on them all over again.

  i do believe cult members enjoy shunning , it makes them feel superior and they feel they are taking a strong stand just like the gb says to do .give them a taste of what they dish out ,shun the jw, if they won't convert to using their own mind, shun them with out guilt .

  Well as a child I was always taught 2 wrongs don't make a right.

  If for instance my old best friend (who I still miss alot and haven't talked to in over 12yrs), decided she wanted to talk to me again, I would love it. I would be on my guard though, since she used to talk to me (even after I was df'd) and then told me one day I couldn't call her anymore.

  I think you should choose not to speak to someone if they are abusive in some way, to you or to ones that you love.

  I remember shunning my aunt when she was df'd and I was only a child, but I was a JW and that is what I believed was right and good for her, since it was supposed to make her want to come back to the "truth".

  I feel bad for shunning her now, but then I didn't know any better. I honestly thought what I was doing was right.

  That is part of the reason I try not to blame my family and former friends for doing what I once did, they are doing what they think is right. I don't think it is right, but I can't control what others think or do.

  I do however get a kick out of talking to a JW (that knows me or knows I am df'd) when I get the chance, just to watch them get REALLY uncomfortable!!

  Applying for a job tomorrow

  Help! Does the sadness ever go away????

  i see a counselor, i am on medication...but still several times a week a just burst out into tears when i think of my mom, sister, brother (all jw's) who are shunning me.

  i miss them soooo very much.

  it has been 2 years since i left (i also da'd myself).

  she told me about someone i knew that passed away.

  i don't remember her very well, but i remember she was very nice and very humble.

  Thank you all so much for the feedback.

  I will go and visit her and I will be at the funeral for Willa as well.

  I haven't thought about so many of the older ones I grew up with just because I didn't want to know if they had died.

  I try not to remember anyone, but this has just really hit me hard. I think it would do me alot of good to go to the funeral even if they turn me away, I will know that I did try to go. I will go to the grave site and say my final goodbye to my dear friend.
