  Anointed Phaseout?

  i was surprized by the deletion of the new book-for-baptism's.

  chapter on partaking/being anointed.. can it be that they are thinking of de-emphasizing or fading.

  my first reaction would be no, that this.

  It seems the remaining power anointed are mostly in diapers so something has to change. They will not let the other eight thousand claimants have any say or power. Eliminating explanations from their literature such as their "abba" doctrine will slow down the number of new converts from biting the cookie.

  CULT CULT CULT

  i have read many opinions about jw's being a cult.a dictionary describes cult as a system of religious beliefs and ritual .. some have viewed even major religions as a cult, such as the roman catholic church.based upon webster almost anybody or anything that is viewed as ritualistic could be said to be cultic.when someone tries to negate jehovah's witnesses by using.

  the "cult" word, i believe they are not seeing that many others could legitimately be regarded as a cult or at least "cultic".therefore the word loses alot of meaning.

  some have said that the watchtower is a cult because of the control factor.

  Unfortunately the opinion you have of a cult and the word cult that makes you bristle when mentioned about JWs is not everybodys problem. Its just your perception of the circumstances; perhaps you were brought up a JW all your life and know no other? What does it matter what JWs are called we know it effected our lives in a socially negative way. Comparing and justifying in regards other religions will not remove the negative veil the WT has put on our lives.

  So if you want to be fair call it what you want. I still say its a CULT and will never change my mind on that.

  The WTS Two 'Credible' Witness Policy.......

  below is an excerpt from the branch letter to all congregations.. 'thus, although they investigate every allegation, the elders in not authorized by the scriptures to take congregational action unless there is a confession or there are two credible witnesses'.

  it reaffirms the two witness policy.no surprise there...... but why does it say 'credible'?

  Dear minimus,

  It's always nice to hear from you. Having to worry about being set up as you describe is common among the WT population, and that's an abomination in any culture. Do you worry of a set up against you? Just think, the next time you pick up your friends child in admiration, your accused of being a pervert. Such a nice organization to belong to.

  Sometimes I wonder if the ideas you come up with are for or against the WT. In any event I think they suck.

  they seem to present a reasonable response to what was presented on the show, but are they hiding anything?

  Amazing,

  I personally have been on the phone with, WT Service desk and WT Legal and reporting is the last thing they wanted to do. It is positively true that in a non reporting state (US) you were discouraged from contacting the authorities. I would call the authorities anonymously.

  Isn't that a great illustration! Trouble is, what does a diamond have to with life and death incorrect teachings? I can choose any diamond I want with very few visible flaws if I want to pay the price.

  If one is a JW you can not choose what to believe and what not to believe. Adhere to the WT teachings or you will be killed by their god. So just keep on loving all the flaws after you see them, like a mindless zombie? NO THANKS.

  states:"therefore no dedicated christian minister can remain in good standing in the new world society of jehovah's witnesses and at the same time be a member of a nudist colony or frequent nudist camps" so if you had to make a choice,what would you do?.

  Are you going to be the next guru of thought provoking questions on the board? Especially from older WT publications, I personally tossed out most of my older WT publications because they nauseate me. Nudists are fine in my book.

  As far as Chinese studs go I have heard of the rumor, as I'm sure many have, of Chinese males having small penises. I have never seen nor do I care to see one, and it doesn't make any difference to me either way. I think some feathers may have gotten ruffled by a false stereotyped rumor and an attempt at humor.
