I know of a case where a ms is living net door to his mother and father. His dad is a elder and mom is a long time pioneer. He no longer attends meetings and has many "wild" parties and also has a live in girlfriend. He has 2 uncles and a grandpa thats a elder in the same k/h. he has not been D/f. he attends all family events with no problems everyone talks to him as if nothing is going on. me on the other hand i have never even been baptised and i cant attend the same family events without the whispering. and list of questions. he goes through none of this. any takes on this. because its bugging the hell out of me. do you think his elder family is just holding info from ny and just dealing with things at the local k/h.

I know a elder that was d/f for cheating on his wife 3 times within 5 years. 6 months after being reinstated the last time he was back to being a elder, guess it helps if your dad is the PO.

What finally pushed you over the edge?
by keyser soze inwas there one issue or incident, final straw, so-to-speak, that made you leave once and for all?
i know there was for me.. i had been having doubts for years, and had stopped believing it was the truth.
but i labored on as a jw, in part because of my family, and in part because i had invested so much of myself in it.

Sober writing today. So i went to her church today, and the sermon was based on Matthew 6:19-21. The pastor went on for 45min. saying this is why you should give to the church. He said he gives 5% in addition to his 10% tithe. he said there is no pressure to give but you should store your treasures in heaven. I was laughing inside. its just unbelivable how he twisted the scripture to fleece the flock. i have been doing some reading on the sites listed, thanks for the info. I belive in God, but i really dont know if i can ever join a church. I think some religions have some truth but it has all been twisted. well im off to do more reading.

Well to start i was raised a JW. My Girlfriend is as member of Sovereign grace ministries. I have not been to a meeting in 15 years, i have attended the Memorial every year. We broke up a month ago because i cant get pass the way i was raised. all ex JW know what im talking about. the catch is she found out she is 2 monthe pregnant. She says we cant be a family till i get myself together. We dont have any problems but religion. thats the only problem and its a big one. I dont believe everything i was tought was the truth but i have a large family most in the "truth". I really want to be a full time dad not just on the weekends. I really love her and i know she loves me but she says we need to be on the same page with teaching our child if we are going to be a family. i dont want to lose my kid and girlfriend or my family. whats a brotha to do? I plan on going to her church in the morning but im not sure if i can join. I know that if the JW"s are right im not gonna make it the way im living now so should i just go all out and be happy with my baby and girlfriend. sorry for the spelling i been drinking, trying to drown the sorrow of being raise a JW. the source of my problem. Any comments will be helpful, thanks.

i hate the wtbts; because, they kill people with their lunatic blood policy and destroy families with shunning.. my mother at age 48, was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
the tumor could have been removed with surgery; but, that would have required blood so it didn't happen.

I can say its has messed up my life. im 31 years old, have been in only 2 real relationships and this one is about to fail because i cant shake the stuff that was pounded into my head for 17 years. my cousin who is baptised but inactive for 13 years is my best friend and i cant even talk to him about what im dealing with because he still says jw is right. lost and dont know what to do.
