IMO, you should have embrassed them in front of the unsuspecting other people there, by saying out loud what was on your mind. They should be ashamed of themselves but are too ate up with the cult.

by stuckinlimbo inso my niece was disfellowshipped about 18 months ago for having a worldly boyfriend who was obviously staying over at her place on a regular basis.
they now have a house together an are going strong.
her boyfriend is a nice guy.

JW Study, close to baptism, begins to ask questions following our conversation
by uk_ex_jw ini will keep this brief.. a jw study who recently contacted me on facebook, has been to the elder's following a conversation with me in where i outlined my reasons for leaving the wt society.. he originally started asking me why i wasn't a jw anymore and how important it was that i returned to the 'truth' and how the devil was ruling the world and turning people against jehovah's people etc etc.
he was, as you would expect, full of beans and enthusiastic about what he was learning and telling me how he couldn't wait to get baptised now.. he was studying years ago - that is how i knew him.
since then he has been off doing his own thing and now they have managed to rope him back again.. i have explained to him that i do not believe that jw's have the truth, sent him video's, and other evidence, about the paedophilia situation, un scandal, links to the mason's, changed doctrines regarding blood/generation and so forth.. he sent me a reply and said that he wasn't sure anymore and that he agreed with me that the wt society was controlling.

Years ago was able to stop a couple studying with info from old bound volumes. Then I told him to ask study conductor to show how imperial (that the term) proof that the society was chosen in 1919. And not to take the word of the elder but to show actual proof, well he did and he and his wife stopped the study as they couldn't show proof.

I heartily agree with Okage, tax them, tax all churches, why should they get a free ride? Churches use public utilities, roads, etc. tax them all. then it will truly be indiscriminant. another good point is have all churches and nonprofit organizations show what come in and what goes out, and specifically what it goes out for and is used for.

Life After Escape!
by StephanieH inso it has been about a year and a half since i left the jw's, it has been a long hard road but my life is finally great!
i have actually had several recent magor changes in my life but i feel the peace in which i have been searching for.
i just spent a month with my mom which was nice even though it didn't go as planned it was good to get to know her a little better.. i actually just moved back to the town i left so that i could be with my mom who is the only family i have left that excepts me.

You also need to remember that conditional love and friendship is neither love no friendship. If someone is really your friend it won't be because you have x amount of hours in meeting attendande or the d2d work. Love isn't based on that either. They are delusional in their concepts of those two things.

guilt tripping isn't working!

he asked me how i was doing and i smiled real big and told him i was doing wonderful!!!
he was completely confused because i think i was supposed to be feeling bad and guilty for not going out in service and feeling like the wrath of jehovah was upon me.

Juba and their false care and love is enough to make a person hurl. they are so fake, when I lost my spouse they weren't supportive as a group a few came by but after the funeral (their version of one) no one comes around I guess I must have passed away too. They are such assholes when it comes to showing true care and concern. It had been 7 months since anyone had come by and then it was only to drop off an invitation to the reject jesus party, told them they wouldn't be seeing me. I will never ever step foot in that hall or any other one again. they can all just piss off as far as I am concerned.

If it really was Satan trying to enslave us...
by WTWizard innumerous churches go around trying to blame the current agenda 21+ on satan.
they claim that satan is trying to get the banks to totally enslave us so we can be bar-coded and live like animals.. now, here is the question.
if satan was doing this, then where are all the churches trying to ask all their members to skip $5 of donations for one session, and put that money into buying silver?

First Aid @ the D.C.s -- could direction from Society cause them a lawsuit?
by tresdecu ini posted about something similar 3 years ago when i first joined.
even though my attendance hasn't been great the last year or so, i was asked to help my bro in law in first aid this year at the convention.
to make a long story short, the society has printed instructions for attendants to not cal 911 for an emergency.
