friendship with the world is enmity with god.. perhaps it is some lingering indoctrination talking, but i dont want to be friends with most everyone i meet out there.
granted i work in a rough-neck environment and it is mostly through my employment that i come in contact with others, but im not like them and i cant see myself hanging out in their living rooms and i don't want their filthy mouths in mine.. i dont smoke, i dont cuss, i dont talk about pussy all the time (actually, none of the time).

You have the FREEDOM to choose who you hang out with now. If the people you work with don't float your boat, find some that do. Go to meetups in you area and find people you like to be around. Or isolate yourself if that is what you want to do.
At least you are not stuck with only choosing from a bunch of doorknobs at the Kingdom Hall.

so recently i realized again via nutjob cults in the news that when you predict the end of world and fail...some people notice...and you have to cover your ass and say something happened invisibly right?...sounds familar i know.... so i tell wife to from now on knock on doors and say "hi, im one of jehovahs witnesses and even though we predicted for one hundred and forty consecutive years that the world would end in the twentieth century...i would still like you to accept my free home bible study".
of course i cant even get her to look inside an awake cover from before 1995 where indeed it says this....and prior to 19oo russell preached the end would occur in 1914 starting in 1874 i believe and that jesus had already come invisibly of course.
and then i realizied that the scripture is so simple it does not need interpretation...."nobody can know the day nor hour...not even the son" or something like that...so isnt it ironic that the entire basis for this religion as founded by russell was for that exact same reason!!!

One of these days, maybe you will take a good hard look at yourself. You still think your problems are all around you; i.e., your wife. Happiness truly is an inside job. You started a thread only a few months ago about how wonderful it was that you found a multi-orgasmic woman to hook up with. Did that give the happiness you are seeking? the stress on jehovah's witness elders raising their children in "the truth" is causing many to literally go mad.. keeping their children in " the spiritual ark" is becoming more and more difficult.. many elders are snapping under the pressure.. one of our guests on the six screens conference call told of her elder father ( who everyone at the kingdom hall thought was an angel) came home from the meeting and killed the family dog in the kitchen with his bookbag as the family looked on....... join us tonight oct. 22, 2011 at 7 pm edt.
.... our guest will be wendy lee tucker former jw whose father was an elder and terribly abused her physically and emotionally.. she received horrific beatings..... hit with a bat, punched at, receiving a broken nose and became a prisoner in her home.. wendy was looked in her room with the doors being nailed shut when the family went off to the kingdom hall.. a far cry fom being a "spiritual paradise".

I met these two pioneer sisters from Florida that spent the day at the beach with the magazines on the corner of their beach blanket. They would talk to annyone passing by that were interested in the mags. None were, they got a killer tan, and a lot of time.
