Were you ever offered unconditional love by worldlies?

Yup, a few friends and my non-JW family... It made me feel not as persecuted as the WTS would have me think I am. It got me thinking they just might be full of Horse Sh*t. Why all the questions dgp?

Whatever you do reflects on Jehovah
by dgp ini heard a witness say this.
sorry if my question seems stupid, but i'm not a jw and i don't know any better.
i have the feeling that this phrase means that you have to carefully weight your every word and action so the worldlies won't have a bad opinion of the wts?.

Childhood Baptism
by torn in two son intoday, one of the few jw friends that i'm close to got baptized.. i always knew he was a little more into it than i was, but i thought that with high school coming for him (i'm a year older than he is), maybe it would open his eyes a little, and he would see the world differently.
with little contact with him because of seperate schools for the past year, i didn't find out the news until just before our convention started.
when he told me, i had this singular moment of panic and deflation, but i gave the guy a big hug and squeaked out a "congratulations" knowing he's two hours from shooting himself in the foot.

I've posted many times about my baptism at 12. I did it to help my elder father to look good back then although I answered all the questions right and said it was my decision at the time which it was. But I was the kid and it was my parents job to keep me from joing a cult, oh wait they were in it to.... Dang it.
Any how the worse thing was the that puberty was just begining for me. Once I hit 14 it was a never ending cycle of judicial committees, guilt, anger, and those famous "back room discussions". My Dad pretty much treated me like an adult once I got baptized. There were so many times I needed his love and honest advice that I didn't get it. There was a block between me and Mom as I was now spiritually superior to her. She couldn't pray in front of me or conduct a field service meeting if I was there. That was weird conducting the field service meetings at 13 for a bunch of grown ups because only women came out.
Just be a good friend to your buddy rise above the JW shit, he's going to need your support even if he doesn't know it.

Are Any Of You Afraid of Dying At Armageddon?
by minimus ini'm not but i know some jws that have drifted but when things like 9/11 catastrophes occur, they're right back at the kingdom hall.. do you ever worry that the great tribulation might occur and you will die?.

I developed a real relationship with God with Christ as my mediator. I told God we can do this when ever he wants a few years ago. It's a peaceful feeling but a hard place to get to. Whether he takes me at armagedoon or as an old man in my sleep it makes no difference to me.

CyberJesus, all the problems you are having are the same ones I have had. I think it's that we are taught to look down on others and elevate ourselves. Dig deep and accept these women the good the bad and the ugly and they will be eating out of the palm of your hand.
