Avishi you're a good good man for the work you are doing. Rest assurd that you are impacting children's lives. Your anger in understandable. I just wanted to thank you for doing a good thing for children.
In my opinion a child being victimized in ANY way where they lose part of their innocence in the WORST tragedy that can happen
THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS

Theraputic threads,,that you post to
by frankiespeakin ini 've noticed over the past few months an increase in these type of threads.
it seems,,that even in somewhat argumentative threads,,were people have different perspectives, and they "voice(?
)" them,, that these seem to promote more thinking on those that respond afterwards.. this type of open, frank, conversation must have tremendeous healing power,,not to mention the sneaky,,unarming,,deprograming effect on our still loyal to the org.

I personally like the argumentative Political Threads not for me, but for others, I think it's great. Because as a JW you werent allowed to discuss, or have a vocal opinion regarding politics. Now that people feel passionately about the subjects and are free to discuss them I think it's a wonderful outlet. For the most part anyway.
I for one though, dont find anything theraputic in arguing online. I would rather have a positive energy. Discussing is great though. This board has really been a great outlet for me. I find myself more at peace with life in general discussing subjects that dont usually get brought up in day to day life.

HELP! How do you answer the Elders without incriminating yourself?
by stichione ini?m due soon for a shepherding call from my congregation elders for a variety of reasons: being irregular in service, s poradically attending meetings, and o h yes, writing in a letter to the society asking for clarifications on the blood ban.
i?m sure that one question that they will be asking me is: d
o you believe that jehovah is using the organization as his only approved channel of communication?

I played really naive. (I have a good way of doing that)
I just kept answering their questions with my own questions, batted my eyes alot, looked confused, and ended up confusing them more than they thought I was. (anyone else confused yet?)

We have a new baby!
by cruzanheart inand his name is moose.
he's 9 weeks old, looks just like our dear departed dexter's baby pictures, and doesn't take any guff off ladybug.
after the initial shock of a wee thing following her everywhere, miss lady is starting to enjoy having a dog around who will actually play with her (dexter was very old when we got ladybug, and he was more inclined to growl and snap at her than play).

Dallas On friday, what to do?
by Junction-Guy inhi gang, i am trying to decide whether or not to just lay around the pool on friday morning and afternoon or do a walking tour of the downtown.
i believe if we hung around the hotel on friday we could be there to meet and greet those arriving.
we could always tour downtown dallas on saturday, however i heard that several of you are planning on saturday to be the pool day.

Secret handshakes and greetings...
by FMZ inwell, this is more about the various things that people do with their "homies".
that weird thing where it starts out like a handshake, but then the hand comes around and grasps the thumb, then opens flat, so your palms are against each other, then they slide off.
(hard to describe...lol) someone did this to me once, and i had no idea what was going on, he had to teach me it.. you see, i was just coming in to work, as the guy before me was leaving... he told me to enjoy my trip to dallas etc... then raised his arm, and bunched up his fist, and then apparently stared at my shoulder... it looked like he wanted to give me a buddy-shoulder-jab, but wasnt close enough, so i stepped towards him.

LOL at OS...... Hey FMZ shouldnt that new puppy be keeping you busy enough that you dont have time to worry about things like whether or not you "left a homie hanging"?
