Hi yellow. Welcome to our little corner of the web. You will find friends and support here. You need to make a network of friends IRL, too. Do you have any non-JW friends now? You can find friends at work, at a church (a nondemoninational one, like the Universal Unitarians can be a good place to start), taking a class, joining a hobby group and/or doing volunteer work. Good luck to you.

Why dont more Christians invoke a JW-style Satan argument when debating why God allows suffering?
by Half a Person ini have just been watched the first part of a sort-of theist vs atheist debate on youtube featuring christopher hitchens.. what struck me is that in all of these types of debates that ive seen, the christians, when faced with the question why does god allow suffering, never really provide any sort of satisfying answer.
its usually something along the lines of:.
our question shouldnt be what is *god* doing, but, rather, we should ask ourselves: what am *i* doing?

Really Deputy, I find your statement to be absolutely ridiculous. I give birth to a baby. So I can just leave it then, content that I gave it the gift of life. What's it crying about? Is it not satisfied with the wonderful gift I gave it? After all, I'm it's creator, I owe it nothing. Yeah, if there's a god out there that feels that way, he's can do that; I can't stop him. But I can flip him the finger while I go on to treat lower creatures with more compassion. I cannot believe anyone would defend such a character.

Well bluecanary you and designs you are so wonderful you think God owes you For letting you live in His universe, don't you.
I don't think a God exists at all. But if he did, hell yes, he would owe us the same as parents owe their children more than the "gift of life" at conception and birth. If God was a human he'd be put in prison for criminal neglect.

I'm Still Torn About the Blood Issue
by palmtree67 inwhen i left the org.
the blood issue wasn't an issue for me.
my best friend was on the blood committee for years and i could see many cases where either blood wouldn't have saved the person anyways (like when a person is in a serious car accident and their liver is in pieces), or blood actually killed the person and/or hindered recovery.. then my little nephew got leukemia.

I think the situation that happened with Mary's brother-in-law is a perfect example of how the medical community can screw stuff up and get stuff wrong. As advanced as we think medicine is today, there's still so much that they don't know and human error is always a factor. If you're going to worry about blood transfusions, you've as much reason to worry about every other medical procedure. If you have foreknowlege of a particular procedure, do your homework so you can keep an eye on what the doctors are doing to you or your family member.

Questions young people actualy ask...
by highdose inin my youth i never once found that this long running seris of articles by the borg ever addressed what i really wanted to know, nor did they really offer any answers to the questions they posed themselves in the articles.
it was normaly " should i do this thing that is fun and normal?
" answer "no, you should go on the ministry more and tell the elders about your youthfull desires so that they can punish you ( lovingly(!)".

Uncyclopedia about Jehovah's Witnesses
by teel inhttp://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/jehovah%27s_witnesses.
i found this so funny, especially if you are/were/know a lot about jws.
what is funny is that it's mostly the truth, presented in a humorous form.

If they refer to anything as 'pagan', like christmas, birthdays, the yin-yang symbol,
fantasia, or saying 'good luck', it means they should basically treat the thing
as if the devil had sculpted it from his own turds and thrown them at you
screaming something about your mother and cocks in hell.If I was drinking something, it would have been coming out of my nose.
This thread is full of win.
