Billy, that was enlightening. I once was faithful in reporting my time accurately, until an elder told the group to make calls on witnesses who were sick. He stated that you can't count time unless you make a return visit before and after the call on the sick witness. He also stated that you can count time for the meeting for field service if you were in the witness work before the meeting. Hence I started to fudge in the reporting of my time after that.

Partaker Number To Be Eliminated?

Ones use to refer to the number of Memorial partakers as proof that the end was near. But when the number started to increase, it placed the GB in an awkward position. It would be very logical for them to stop if the number continues to rise.

I was very impressed how the government and communities in Hawaii always kept their beaches clean, even after the debris brought in by a major storm. Hopefully the West coast of the U.S. will keep their coasts just as clean. Ha Ha.

Could the Governing Body be done away with?

seriously.. they came to be, out of a troubled time.
there was much opposition as we know to the whole gb idea at the time.

I think that the present arrangement of the GB has to change in the future. Currently one has to be of the anointed to be a member of the GB. But as time goes by and if the end has not came within 30 years, then a completely new GB made up of non-anointed will have to be formed or the WT corporation will replace the GB.

Amazing how they condemn getting an education, but circuit overseers I have met kiss up to those who are educated, such as doctors who are in the org. The WTS continues to say it is easier for a non-educated witness to get a good job than a person with a degree.

Though Jehovah is running the WTS according to them, prayer to Jehovah is encourage. This shows ones desire for Jehovah to take action. Hence ones mind and heart will always be united with the WTS and Jehovah.

Who's Bringing Reproach on Jehovah's Name NOW?
by headisspinning inthis thought isn't fully formed, but maybe someone can expand on it.... i've been keeping an eye on the situation developing with steven unthank's case against the wt in australia - how they have completely disregarded the law about child abuse registry checks for elders - and it seems to be that they've done the very thing we all lived in fear of doing: bringing reproach on jehovah's name.. they talk about how if jw's engage in wrong conduct they are bringing reproach on god's name, or how satan has heaped reproach on jehovah's name... well, it seems to me they are doing an awfully good job of it themselves.... in addition look at the qualifications for an elder as laid out in 1 timothy... with these words in mind, it seems to me the gb have since disqualified themselves.... 1 timothy 3:1-7 .
1 it is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do.
2 an overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,.

Sadly the media usually leaves the WTS alone. And jws listen to the WTS as the communication from God. Therefore most jws have no idea what actually the WTS does. The WTS try to always silence any cases deterimental to its interests.
