  When we used to have the retail store and service business, we hired many a JW. We found them similar to non-JW's, and nothing special. They lied, missed work, and stole like anyone else.

  But, on the worse side, some would gossip about you in the congregation.

  A good JW story:

  We caught two playing games with the time clock. Both were Pioneers, but thought nothing of punching in for the other when missing, and stealing time hours from us. Sometimes for an entire day. When caught, they rationalized the theft saying we deserved the treatment because we were not going to the meetings anymore. ....Uh???

  Twice JW's 'borrowed' a company truck without asking on the weekend. We found out on one, because they got a ticket for speeding and our current tags were not posted on the plate.(200 miles away) The other, we happened to go by our yard on a Sunday, and seeing the truck gone, we called the police and reported it stolen.

  Do Witnesses serve Jehovah for a "Paradise" payday!!

  yes go to meetings and field service otherwise no "payday" for you!

  witnesses spend many hours serving jehovah because they will live forever in paradise on earth.....yes, they won't die like the rest of mankind.....so is this really why people serve god...for a final payday in the future?.

  Presciption drug addiction

  i was wondering if any of you have experienced this problem or know of someone that has.

  i know someone with this problem and this person is in counseling and taking medication to fight the cravings, but it's still a constant battle.

  it's my daughter, and i'm desperate for advice.

  I deal with chronic pain and this is my concern as well. I have been taking natural anti-inflamitories, and natural pain killers to supplement and limit my narcotic use to when absolutely necessary.

  Have her check with her doctor for alternative meds. My Dr reccomended these for me.

  i changed my account last week, i was known here as lance link for several years.. as time went on, i began to really notice that this weird looking monkey with a gun was staring back at me everytime.

  i posted something.. some of my posts were pretty heartfelt, and looking at that d*** monkey kinda seemed to simplify and trivialize.

  You know Yizuman, I only liked the original one with Lorne Green.

  Everything was new, with plenty of hot chicks that you knew were not Cylons disguised as humans.

  Favorite line was when they reached Earth and thought LA had a protective screen or barrier (smog) over the city.

  the society would sell the land and claim insurance.

  no need to fire 1,000 bethelites so they could move to watchtower farms.

  they would claim we are "near the end of the system" and satan is attacking god's people.

  I have this picture in my head of a large house falling from the sky and landing on the GB.

  Who would appoint the new GB? Of course, who appointed the original GB 40 years ago?

  Do you think the JW's might just get the message that someone is trying to tell them something?
